"Gaby helped us remodel our kitchen. We wanted to keep our existing custom cabinets but modernize the appearance. Gaby transformed the look from a country style kitchen to a more modern, crisp design by: -extending the cabinets about 10” to the ceiling, and adding molding and trim work -replacing faux legs in our island and cooking area with clean edges -building custom decorative panels for the island and columns -removing a cabinet to make room for a beverage center -countless repairs and fixes Gaby also coordinated painting - both the cabinets and the ceiling/walls, and painted over 50 cabinet doors/drawers himself. The painting turned out absolutely beautiful and professional - as if the cabinets were white from the beginning. He also coordinated many of the other jobs, including recommending an electrician for us who was also very reliable and professional. In many ways, he acted like a GC for us in addition to a carpenter. Can’t say enough about Gaby. He is an outstanding, meticulous carpenter. He knows his stuff in and out. He is reliable, prompt, efficient, reasonable, and goes above and beyond to deliver amazing results. The quality is amazing--the lines are precise throughout (and there are lots of them). I cannot recommend them highly enough. I spoke with a realtor early on, looking for recommendations, and he commented that Mateus' prices were good (I had no idea), and I see now that is the case given the extent and precision of the job. I would use him and his team again in a heartbeat. (Also, at the time, the bridge coming into the building I live in was under repair so Mateus had to walk a distance with all the materials even to get to our unit--no problem...just such a personable great person.)"
