"A kitchen remodel is a major over-haul project.  Gutting the original tile floor prior to replace it with new tile is a long process.  Brewer did their best to maintain a schedule that got us through this inconvenience as effortlessly as possible.  They were very concientious about taping off the areas not being reomodeled to eliminate as much construction dirt as possible.  They were careful not to damage other parts of the kitchen.  The installation went well and the installer did an excellent job and made our new floor look fantastic.  The same person installed the backsplash and it turned out great too.  I have used Brewer previously for a carpet installation, so that is why I called them back for this job.  Once again, I was very pleased with the end results and I would call them back whenever we have additional flooring needs."

"It was fine. I wasn't overly impressed but they did what we asked them to. I'm not completely convinced that their work solved the problem we were having. It was okay but I'm still wondering if what they did solved the problem or not. The vent line is in a crawlspace that's difficult to get to so the part of my problem is I haven't gone down there to see if the repairs they did hold up or whether it's going back to the same problem that we had before. The pricing was fair."

"The projects were completed quickly and efficiently. In the past, Crew found a source of a roof leak, repaired extensive ceiling cracks and nail pops, and helped prepare our last house for sale. I would use their staff for almost any home repairs."

"Love when they come to carpet clean. They are always on time and have the greatest employees. I trust them completely. They are always willing to go the extra mile to meet my expectations. They also are great on giving advice for future issues that I may have. Would definetely use them again for any carpet cleaning, duct cleaning or water issues I have. Have given their name to several of my friends!!

"John was quick to respond to my call, listened to what our goals were
with this project---and didn't try to "upsell" us on repairs/renovations
that are not needed.  His crew came in and went to work---almost
without appearing to take a break!  Everything was done in the time
promised, and the project came out better then had been expected!  We
have already given his phone number and name to family members and a few
friends---and we will be using his services again in the future!
Thank you John-Randy-Mike and Maro!!!!!  You guys were a pleasure!

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Waldron, IN

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
