"Poorly. Old Castle exceeded the one month estimate and completion took 3 1/2 months. They exhibited poor communication skills, were unresponsive and careless, significantly damaging our existing bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sink and failed to cover our outdoor terrace, left caked up cement and adhesives on the surface which therefor needs repair/repainting. We eventually agreed a resolution with them but they did not do any of the agreed repairs to our vanities. We have never posted a negative review on social media but strongly recommend that you select a different contractor."

The detergent used is made by Selig Chemical and contains a soil retardant to help keep your carpet looking cleaner longer. Shampoo cleaning became part of our service when synthetic detergents with built in soil retardant's were developed in the late 1940's, Beckett’s used this type of cleaning as a standard until the Mid 1970’s.\n\nMajor drawback - soap acts like a magnet to dirt, and this technique leaves high deposits of soap in the carpeting which results in carpet appearing to be dirty faster than it should.\n\nHot Water Extraction (Steam)\nA solution of water and detergent is injected into the carpet under pressure. It is then immediately extracted together with soil and spots which have been loosened and suspended. This method which has been used in some rug cleaning plants over the years was adapted to be used on location in the 1970's. Beckett’s was among the first cleaners in the Atlanta area to offer this new process in the mid 1970's. \n\nDry\nThe basis of this system is a dry compound which contains a blend of solvents. This compound is applied to the carpet and then brushed in with equipment designed to disperse it evenly and work it deep into the carpet pile. The compound absorbs soil and stains as it dries. Thorough vacuuming when dry removes the dry compound together with the dissolved soil and spots.\n\nOther Methods\nA number of other methods are also available such as bonnet cleaning (absorbent pad) and dry foam. Our experience with them also dates back generations.
