"I’m thankful Carter Bros was my choice through Angi’s list. The oven portion of my gas range suddenly quit working. Bill came out the same day and was thorough and professional. He was unable to find the source of the failure and said it could be the motherboard and it could fail again and at that point I’ll need to weigh if the cost of replacing that mother board or replacing the 9 year old range makes more sense. I was only charged $199 and he spent over an hour trying to isolate the failure. I appreciate his honesty and not charging me an exorbitant price. Only surprise was when the technician/owner presented the bill ($480) and informed that he 'does not take credit or debit cards, only cash or check'. Cash? Wrote a check and that worked but that would have been something to share up front. Cards are pretty universally accepted and without notice beforehand it could have been an awkward moment once the work was completed. There's nothing on their website about only accepting cash or checks. On the plus side, I called on a Friday and he came out next day, on Saturday."

The price was reasonable so we decided to move forward. When Vitalii came again he had a new part to try. He installed it but the oven still didn't work. He reassured us that he would still be able to fix it for the original quoted cost, but had to get an entire new panel from the manufacturer. He returned a few days later, installed the new panel and additionally fixed a piece of rubber gasket that had come lose from around the oven window for no additional charge.
