"We called for an estimate that morning and they said they could come at 3:30 after I got off work.  They called to let us know that they were running behind which was considerate.  When they showed up Andrew listened to what we wanted an estimate for and he took measurements and provided an estimate. No high pressure sales.  The price seemed reasonable to us so we asked to schedule it later in the week.  Andrew said he could complete the job right then which really surprised us since it was about 6:30.  He proceeded to move the furniture out of the way and started cleaning.  It was more than simply him running a machine across the carpet. The carpet took a while to dry but with the heater on it was dry by morning.  We will no longer be using our hoover carpet cleaner to clean the carpets after seeing the difference. <br />"

"I had used this company before for paint and they were very helpful picking out colors and making recommendations so I decided to try them for the floor in our kitchen. The installer arrived promptly and got to work immediately. The floor was being installed over an existing lineoleum tile file. The installer failed to put the goop down that covers and smooths out the existing tile gaps. So when he was done, the finished lineoleum had lines showing through. We complained, and the original installer came back to put the goop down...and it did look better. But the new lineoleum had already "set" and had permanently deformed and taken on the shape of the tile gaps in some areas. So even after they were done, you could still see some lines. I did not complain a second time, so I am not sure if they would have fixed the issue (it could not have been fixed without starting over from scratch with a new sheet of linoleum). I would use this company again for decorating help and definitely for buying paint, but would not trust them on installing anything. In fact, we are considering putting down hardwood and while I might buy the materials from them, I will not be using them to install."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Warner Robins, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
