"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE GROSSLY INCOMPETENT! I have a 3 million dollar home for sale in the Siena subdivision in Leawood. Doctor's Lawn came the day before my scheduled open house of 10/25 and cut my sod laid irrigated yarrd after heavy rain and destroyed my yard front & back. They put very deep ruts in my manicured yard to the point it looks like I had a damn tractor pull event on my property! I called "Andy" and insisted he come out to see the damage. He showed up but denied the damage and said "it's normal" to see that in a yard. well...NO IT'S NOT! I asked him if he was okay with such damage and he gleefully said "yes". I fired him on the spot, called my attorney, and am going to sue Doctors for repairing their malicious damage. Furthermore, upon having the irrigation people come out the next day to "winterize" my irrigation system, the irrigation company also found several broker sprinkler heads that were both ran over by the mowing crew blades, or by the mower wh"

"Designer quit...Used day labor workers who had no design sense for landscaping, nor did they have the correct design plan with them. Mixed 2 different colors of mulch together and literally placed some of the plants on top of the mulch, not in the soil!"

"Had to start with Watersmith partially into the season since my last outdoor company couldn't respond in a reasonable amount of time. I needed some sprayer heads added and changed as well as the backflow test done and results forwarded to the city before starting the season. Watersmith has two departments (Irrigation and Lawn) but a single office team that you can reach on the phone, M-F. They will set appointments and relay information to the appropriate team. And also handle billing. Services cost slightly more than my last company I had but having a live person/s in the office during the work week is worth it. On this Labor Day w/e I discovered I was leaking water up through my front lawn and gave them a call and after pressing #2 got an on-call tech who came over within a hour and shut the water off till they reopen the following week. Was very pleased with that response! While I did not signup for the pre-pay plan this year (only 5% discount) they spelled out what the remaining treatments will cost as well as the sprinkler blowout this fall. I also want to see the results before committing long term."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Warrensburg, MO

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
