"The work that was done at our house was more than exceptional. Charles knew the metal needed and the type of gate that we were looking to get installed. He was very easy to work with and made us feel that us as his customers were very much a priority. I will only recommend Charles Ornamental to others seeking welding work. Thank you Charles and your team in keeping your appointments and completing the work we needed for security and peace of mind!!"

"This is a follow up on a review made previously.  H&N was quite upset with our B rating.  In their response to our review they indicated that they would contact us and make things right.  (that was my interpretation of their response).  In my initial review I said that the installation of the windows was unsatisfactory because the trim partially (1/3) covered two electrical outlets and ruined the esthetics of the job.  I did not mention that the extensive trim was not finished and we were left with a bare wood surface.  H&N did indeed call us and my wife mentioned the lack of a protective polyurethane  coat.  A man did come out and coated the window trim, unfortunately that coat dried leaving a very rough coat with excess polyurethane in the  4 decorative grooves of the trim.  While we alerted H&N of this, the problem was not really acknowledged or remedied.  I did a lot of research on how polyurethane needs to be correctly applied and it is a long and tedious process of applying 4 coats of polyurethane wiping excess finish off and then sanding the finish for each coat.  I am not a stupid person (as they indicated in a phone call to my wife) I would have paid an additional sum to have the windows finished correctly, but H&N never requested additional payment.  Also the overlapping of the trim with the electrical  outlets was again ignored.  Again, I would have paid extra to move the electrical outlets, but they never requested additional payment.  I have bought materials and will finish the windows myself, but I will have to hire someone to move the electrical outlets.

I received a second survey in my e-mail that was not from Angies' list, and I filled it out stating exactly what I said in my Angies review.  I don't know who sent me this survey.  In response to this review, my wife received a phone call from H&N in which the caller said that only a crazy or stupid person would have filled out the such a survey.  My wife was unaware I had received and responded to a second survey so she was very confused.  Unfortunately, I was hospitalized at the time and could not respond as I was very sick.
I am not writing this review to get H&N to do additional work, in fact they are not welcome in our home and we will pay someone else to complete the job.

"They were fantastic to work with. Scheduling, conducted over e-mail, was a breeze--they were able to accommodate my second-choice date, which was just over a week away. Arrived perfectly on time, and the workers were consummate professionals. They accomplished everything I requested and did solid, quality work. I had not planned for disposal of two old toilets that they replaced, and they were able to adjust their plan and haul away the old toilets at the end of the day. There was a minor issue with one of the newly-installed toilets later that night (due to a hardware problem outside their control), and they came the next day as soon as possible to make it right.

"Our original contractor dropped off of the Facebook of the Earth, leaving us with mostly finished renovation and the new deck I started. I found 5thGen on Thumbtack and Christian was the most responsive and knowledgeable of the respondents to my search for fencing contractors. His team built me a gorgeous fenced-in urban oasis and the double lattice was his idea and custome made for our space. I’m attaching photos. He and his team then proceeded to repair our previous contractor’s errors (like installing new kitchen cabinets upside-down... really!) and did amaze my custome drywall work and mounding work. They even moved our challenger and you would never know the base had been relocated looking at the ceiling. Great great job, reliable and responsive on multiple projects for us since. Our relationship with 5thGen started at the end of 2015 and continues to date."

"The project manager was very professional and organized. They handled a majority of the interaction with the insurance company and it was a year ago so I don't remember the price, but I believe reasonable.

"They installed 10 feet of metal railing with nice decorations.  I got 10 different quotes. Some were from Home Advisor. These guys seemed to know what they where doing and their price was really reasonable, so I hired them. Right after the visit to my house, they sent me a quote and I approved it. They had how long it would take for the fabrication and welding time, and they included a schedule for installation. They did it right in the time they quoted. I was very pleased with the job. I would recommend this company to friends and family members.  I will definitely use them again in the future."
