"PestNow was hired to inspect our house for termites. This was required by the lender of the family buying our house. PestNow found a pile of wood leaning up against a deck column they said needed repair due to termite damage. PestNow also required the entire house be treated. There were no termites found anywhere other than the pile of wood, according to PestNow. They quoted us for over $800 to treat the house. We questioned the need and amount so they lowered it to $580. As a result of PestNow stating they found termites in the deck column, the lender of the buyers required the deck column be repaired due to termite damage. The deck repair company assessed the deck column agreeing it needed to be repaired, but not due to termites, rather moisture. I question whether PestNow found termites at all. Their unethical tactics cost us well over $1,000. Beware of PestNow."

Despite instructions not to apply anything inside, chemicals appear to have seeped into the floorboards, worsening her health. The provider charged over $4k plus $185 every three months but did not install traps to catch rodents. The customer does not want them to return and reports the basement is in disarray, contributing to the ongoing issues."

Fortunately, whatever was in my attic vacated before Will arrived so I was able to proceed with repairs without fear of trapping any unfortunate critters inside my attic. All of the work was unobtrusive and remained outside. J.P. and Austin were the ones that did the repairs. I was very happy with the end results! They too were both very kind and polite and addressed all of my questions. For both appointments (estimate and repair), the technicians were on time. They worked very efficiently too. "Sheldon Faison F.A.C.E.S. LLC served as my inspector during the month of August in regards to closing on my property. Since then -- and barely a month later, I experienced issues in regards to the heating system. I paid to update it and was informed I would need to replace the HVAC unit completely before the end of the year (*this is noticeable because the HVAC unit was perhaps the first thing I inquired with you about but I was told not to worry about it and that the system was still "good"*). Note that this will cost approximately $6,000 - $10,000 in addition to the $1,000 I've already paid. Secondly, we are now in the month of March--I haven't been in my home for a full year and already, there are issues with water leaking from the third floor bathroom unto the living room floor. If one actually looks closely, there appears to be a very obvious bulge in the living room ceiling that was there since the day of closing. I reviewed the report and while it does mention issues with ceiling drywall not being sealed properly, this was not mentioned during the walkthrough and no added importance given to this issue versus less serious issues being given high importance during the walk though despite this inspector placing a great importance on explaining things to the minutiae. There were also issues with the toilet running that resulted in a higher than normal water bill for a few months that I also had to account for and again--this was not mentioned in the inspection report. I am sure there are quite more issues that haven't come to light yet but as a first time homeowner-- it is extremely disappointing to me that these items were not factored in the inspection report as this would have made all the difference in my decision to purchase this home."
