"Not a great experience. Repairperson was here and took a look at the unit. Said the system needed replacement. It is 15 yrs old so that wasn't surprising. I asked for an estimate. He then replaced an expensive ($80) filter on a system that was not going to get repaired. I politely told him I did not authorize the filter replacement. He made a big deal of pulling it back out. The estimate that he gave me was A LOT higher than 2 other estimates. I am going with a company that is highly recommended by neighbors and Angie's List. I never leave negative reviews. If I am unhappy, I just leave it alone. By the way, this cost me $172!"

"Called Mr. Weinstein and he came out the same day. Service was great! He was able to diagnose the problem and fix the issue. Removed a softball sized ice ball and showed me the steps he was taking along the way. Very knowledgeable."

"Adrian from Centric Sub-Zero is an amazing repairman who did a fantastic job identifying, analyzing and fixing a freezer leak problem. He responded immediately to our inquiry on his website, suggesting (at no cost) steps we should take which could avoid a service call. When that didn't fix the problem, he quickly scheduled a visit. With forensic analysis worthy of a CSI episode, he traced the problem all the way back to an unrelated and unexpected source. He took extra steps to make sure every part was working perfectly. We haven't had any problems since. We rarely have worked with someone so knowledgeable, professional, competent, thorough, experienced, prepared and enthusiastic. He instills confidence. Adrian clearly cares about fixing Sub-Zeros, providing top flight service, and loves his job. Based on this experience, we recommend him enthusiastically."

"Our experience with Shiner was disappointing. We arranged for them to replace our roof and siding. The roof work went well. The siding work had major problems: -Shiner didn’t order enough siding, so the team left about 15% of our house with no siding in winter (see photo). It took them over two months to come back and complete the job. -One of the Shiner Construction workers put a nail through our HVAC line, leading to all of the Freon (roughly $4000) escaping; Shiner initially agreed to only credit us for the non-recommended cheapest repair option for our HVAC system; then the foreman called to say that his boss (the owner) thought the repair was too expensive and tried to credit us for less money than was required to even repair our system (all while we still had no heat for a week in winter). The repairs were also entirely our responsibility to arrange; no help from Shiner. -The construction team didn’t show up on five separate days that we were told by management that they would show up; no explanation was ever given. -The construction team didn’t clean up the yard, as we found nails in our yard for more than a week after they completed the first 85% of the siding; and then repeatedly didn’t show up when we asked them to clean the yard. We eventually had to buy an industrial magnet on Amazon and look for the nails ourselves."

"Only giving 2 stars due to promptness of arrival. My 3 y/o Bosch dishwasher developed a leak resulting in an error and the unit not working as designed. I contacted JB Appliance and they were able to come to my house the same day which was great! The tech arrived on time and was very professional while he was in my home. He took all of 10-15 minutes to diagnose that my dishwasher had a leaking tank. He quickly buttoned everything up and said I would receive a quote to repair in the next day or two. I actually received the quote the same day to the tune of $520(ish) for parts and labor. I then looked up the part to see how much they were marking it up which wasn't that bad. The bad part of this situation when I was searching for the part I came across MANY reviews of the Bosch dishwasher of people who had the exact same issue (cracked plastic nut). They also talked about what the actual issue was. After reading this I decided to buy the part that Bosch upgraded to due to the consistent problem. Part was approximately $9 + shipping. I emailed the rep who sent the quote asking for half of my $120 diagnosis trip fee back because the issue was not correctly diagnosed. I was essentially told no with some not true excuse as to why their recommendation was correct. So I went from a quote of $520(ish) + the $120 already spent to what I actually paid for the repair (approx. $10). Do not recommend because of shady business practices."

"After a very thorough discussion of the cost to repair, I decided not to repair. However, the salesman had a machine on sale that cost the same as the estimated repair costs. There was no pressure and all questions were answered. So I bought a new machine."
