"I could not be happier with the amazing job Baldassarri Construction did renovating our laundry room. From start to finish, Ralph and his team were amazing. Communication - check. Cleanliness - check. Quality of work - check check. We will definitely be using them for other projects."

"Manny (BHC) and his team were very professional and respectful of our home. When a flood destroyed our finished basement, Manny was able to offer a very competitive and complete estimate for the remodel. His team showed up on time, carefully moved all our furniture / washer and dryer and properly prepped the work area. When his team encountered unexpected issues with our house, his team was able to fix them promptly while keeping me informed of any expense changes. As the project progressed Manny was very responsive to our feedback. I would advise anyone who decides to go with BHC to be as vocal as possible during the process as concerns are promptly addressed. "We hired Bath Planet of CT for a bathroom remodel. For $25k (for a small bathroom 5.5? x 7.5?) we got nothing but disaster. I should have put a stop to it all during demo when they ruined every wall surrounding and the ceiling below (all of which were brand new due to water damage). But it they promised to fix it. The company has a license but the crews do not. There are no qualified plumbers yet they mess around with plumbing. And they destroyed it. They stuck an unsealed flange REPAIR KIT without a wax ring into our sewage pipe (that they bent when cutting). Our home has smelled like sewage and the company refused to take onus and repair it! It has been horrible living like this and has been dangerous to my family?s health and our home. After going back and forth for months, we finally had to hire a plumber and he unearthed the disaster underneath the toilet. He said he has never seen anything so horrible in his 27 years being a plumber. Next are the walls and ceiling, on OUR dime?! "

"Joe and his team at JM Construction performed a full Master bath remodel in our home this winter. Following an initial visit, Joe understood our vision for the bathroom and laid out a precise plan for getting the job done. He and his team worked diligently to execute the plan and he was always there to consult and advise us of progress. Near the end of the project, we encountered a frosen pipe issue due to the very cold winter we have been having. Joe and his plumber moved fast to locate and replace the frozen pipe so that the project could continue. They went above and beyond by replacing a portion of the frozen pipe, while adding insulation and superb painting to get the project moving forward again. No time was lost. The new bathroom is phenomenal and I can't say enough good things about JM Construction. I have already recommended his company to my friends and family. 5 Stars all around. "

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Waterbury, CT

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
