He quoted a very fair price, started work on the promised date, and worked with no interruptions to complete the job by the agreed upon completion date. We have since engaged Ryan to do multiple other projects, including window installations, a bathroom remodel, and installation of a kitchen floor. "Family Hearth and Patio replaced our deck and did an amazing job. The new deck looks great-- a huge improvement over our aging composite material deck. Paul, the owner, was responsive and worked with us to come up with a design. Their workmanship is excellent, the deck materials are high quality and the whole thing was carefully built. It was not cheap, but we felt it was worth it because the materials used and workmanship were high quality. They built it over the winter and the weather slowed things down a bit, so it took over a month. My main critique is that we did not have a formal design drawing beforehand, just some sketches, so some decisions (like exactly how to position the stairs) were made with our input as the project progressed. A formal drawing upfront would have been better. But in terms of the quality of the result, I don't think anyone could make a more solidly built, better looking deck."

"The Cahoons did an outstanding job on our deck to three season room conversion . They were excellent in planning the project, meticulous in the finishes and very detail oriented in all aspects of the job. They paid close attention to the little things : all trash was promptly cleared and cleaned up, they vacuumed and washed up dust, dirt, tile and saw dust, the workers were polite and professional and had a small footprint while at our residence: they kept us informed of what they were doing, how they would do it, when they would do it, etc. No loud music and no bad language either. We would definitely recommend these people for their work and their professionalism to anyone needing remodeling or home repair services."
