"Made the impossible possible. I had a quick turnaround project: to paint my new apartment before I moved in. Within four days, Patrick and his team inspected the property, drafted a quote, ordered supplies, and FINISHED IT. I also wanted each room painted a different color and Patrick made sure, even day of, that I was totally sold on my choices before confirming. The apartment looks amazing, I am so happy. There is not a single flaw in the job. And Patrick’s guys showed up when they said, and made sure it worked with my schedule. Could not recommend this group enough. The BEST. "

"Wonderful! From the estimate of our job, paint choices, to the completion of our work. Communication was clear, job completed in a timely manner, the crew was exceptional, polite, courteous and good work ethic. (We lived in our home while the job was being completed and the crew respected us and our home.) The pricing was very competitive and we would use Diaz Professional Painting for all future painting needs. We highly recommend Felipe and his crew!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Watsonville, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
