"Our 50 year old toilet leaked around the base. The first technician replaced the beeswax seal but the toilet wobbled after he left. The same technician was sent back, but a few days later the toilet wobbled again. Rooter Express sent a different technician the same day we called. He redid the entire project and a week later the toilet is steady and firm. There were no charges except the original charge. We are now quite satisfied. "

"We checked Angie's List for a Plumber and there was one listed.  We called that plumber and they were not able to help us in the time frame we needed HOWEVER Henry Plumbing referred us to Tony Perks Plumbing,  Hooray for Henry's!  I called Tony's and they said they were not able to get to us today but could get to us in the time frame we needed.  However, one of their technicians finished a job earlier than anticipated and they called us then sent him right over. He was prompt, professional and quick.  He told s how to take care of our bill and was on his way.  We definitely recommend this company and will use him in the future. <br />"

"I highly recommend Savino Plumbing. They were recommended to me 3 years ago after using three other plumbers and we are steadfast customers now. Mike always answers the phone when I call and Josh always communicates how long before he will arrive at my home. I am always impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. Josh installed a water softener for me a year ago and then installed a replacement hot water heater today. Both of these installations were at our request and went smoothly and efficiently. They make sure everything is working as it should after the job is completed, clean up the work area, and communicate any directions and answer all of my questions thoroughly. I remarked they need to give customer service seminars. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I need work done!"

"<p>Arrived on the day of the install and did the shingle removal, installed new shingles and cleaned the work area up and hauled off the debris. I did not have any debris left in the yard. My yard was clean afterwards. </p> <p>I have tried to get them back out for a small ridge vent job and they said they would come and do it, and gave me a price we agreed on, but have not and now my ceiling in the other part of my home will have to be repaired because of the delay of them coming back for the small job and the rain we have had.</p> <br />"

"Our tenants called to let me know that the hot water heater was leaking.  I had one plumber come and check out the situation (I do not live in the area) and quoted me a ridiculous amount.  I called Cumberland Plumbing and spoke with the owner, John, who listened to the situation and was able to go by the house to assess the situation and give me an estimate late on a Friday afternoon.  John called me back, told me all of the work that needed to be done - which was more than a typical installation since the water softener was in the way of the hot water heater and would need to be moved out of the way to complete the task.  John moved the existing water softener, installed new hot water heater, moved water softener back into place tested everything and my tenants now have hot water and the hot water heater is no longer leaking. <br />"

"The pilot light on our water heater went out and we couldn't relight <br /> it.  Ron Zehnder came out on a Saturday to diagnose the problem WITHOUT <br /> CHARGE.  He told us what parts we needed and that we should order them <br /> from the water heater company ourselves so we could get faster service <br /> from them.  The parts came in and he installed them the next day.  There <br /> was an additional problem but he came back that same afternoon and <br /> fixed it for no additional charge.  We were very pleased. <br />"

"Called them to get an estimate to redo our driveway.  They got back to me and had someone there the same day to give us the estimate.  They suggested we use paver bricks in a ribbon to relieve areas that had stress cracks.  We pick out the pavers and they gave us a date to start.  The day before starting we thought it would be good to add additional pavers so i called.they were able to accomodate our request and keep to the original schedule. <br /> The crews showed up bright and early and worked all day finally completeing after 6 PM.  Everything was cleaned up and we had a new driveway in one day.  There was no problem using our coupon from Angie's list. <br /> Extremely hard working and professional from the office staff, to theestimator, and the crew. <br />"

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Waverly, GA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
