"I hired Jesse and the crew to add on stairs to an existing deck and replace the railings. When they showed up on day 1, they inquired about my half-built fence. It was started by a different company in the fall but they took my money and never returned to finish it. Jesse said he wanted to help. They dismantled the poorly built fence and were able to reuse every bit of lumber on a new, beautiful, quality built privacy fence. It turned a one week job into a three week job but I'm forever grateful they were able to help me out and save me a ton of money by reusing everything. The stairs and railings that I originally hired them to do look wonderful and the quality is superb. They guys were on time every morning and worked in sub-freezing temperatures, rain, and snow without complaint. Everyone was very professional and polite. They cleaned up the worksite nicely including pressure washing the new stairs. I will absolutely hire them again in the future for my outdoor projects."

"Les is a real artist. I bought a Craftsman home In the Blue Ridge mountains a year ago. My personal style is mid-century modern. The fireplaces, etc., were very traditional and I needed a large wall unit/desk for the downstairs family room as well. "I'll start by saying I chose Matt because of the reviews here on Angie's List and the photographs of his work on his web site. Matt doesn't come cheap, and we did have significantly lower bids for this job. We felt that these built-ins were going into our great room and needed to look good, like a piece of furniture. We felt confident that Matt could deliver the quality craftsmanship we wanted for this project, and decided the extra cost was justified. Matt suggested a bench under each window with storage and doors below and a Cherry top (seat) on the benches. We decided on a scribed fit against the fireplace, which meant Matt would have to cut the bookshelves to mate with the rock fireplace. Matt shared his plan to build the bookshelves in his shop, described the materials being used and the process he would use to paint the exposed surfaces, gave us a rough date for completion and assured us we would be happy with the result. On installation day, he showed up with his partner Josh and each took a side of the fireplace to work on. They spent the entire day installing our built-ins, and even had to finish up a few details on the following day. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the result. The built-ins look great, and have that quality furniture look we hoped for. The sprayed on lacquer finish is awesome and durable. What an improvement in the room!"

"Tomas is a miracle worker. We moved into a new house and the deck hadn't been maintained. It was dry and splintery and some of the grain was separating so there were dangerous shards sticking up. Many of the boards had become concave so they would hold water after rain. When Tomas came to give an estimate, he said he could flip the boards over. Brilliant — I had never heard of that before. So he spent a day unscrewing every board and flipping them over, making some modifications on the ends where it went around railing posts. He did a careful and thorough job washing, sanding, and staining. It now looks like we have a completely new deck! Amazing! (And pretty cheap given the cost of wood these days.) Tomas is an incredibly hard worker. (In fact I had another guy doing work on my house who commented, “Wow, he's a really good worker.") I've had other guys come out and do other decks of mine before, and they would just do a perfunctory cleaning and slop on the stain. Tomas genuinely cares about how good the deck looks. Every detail is meticulously attended to. And — the work was reasonably priced. So glad we found him."

"Eldridge and his crew did a great job for us, completely repainting our house and a very large deck. Eldridge is not only an artist, he is a skilled carpenter and was able to diagnose and fix a leak on a chimney, as well as replace all wood and trim so that it looked as good as new. He was very patient in allowing us to take our time to select just the right colors, and he even custom mixed a wonderful slate gray ("Eldridge Gray") that now covers the deck. There were some rain delays, but Eldridge was there every time that it was possible to work on the house. He was always on site supervising his workers. We are very happy with Eldridge as both a painter and a carpenter, and would hire him without hesitation in the future! Thanks, Eldridge for the wonderful result on our home!"

"After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."
