"These guys were great! I bought the deal through Angie's List for air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. My husband and I purchased the house about 3 weeks ago and the ducts were pretty gross. We wanted to get them cleaned up before using the heater for the first time. Mike and Mike were really friendly and professional and went beyond what was expected. First of all, they found a duct full of asbestos that they were not able to clean (which is fine) but I was not aware of it. Without them, I would have used the heater and had all of that junk floating in the air. Now at least I can address that issue. The lead Mike (seemed like the one in charge so I will call him that), was super awesome. He took a knife and cut open a painted over old vent that had been sealed off. The cavity was full of dust and plaster chunks. He vacuumed it and totally cleaned it out. That was really great of him to do and was above and beyond. While cleaning the dryer flexi hose-thing that connects to the vent that goes outside, the dryer unexpectedly stopped working. Lead Mike, opened up the back of the dryer and reached inside it to find a walnut! He cleaned that out and the dryer started working again. The guys were great and I totally recommend their services."

He also did preventative maintenance on the hot water side as well since both valves are the same age. "Wonderful! The HVAC crew were excellent! Professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and efficent! They came in, evaluated the job, then got right to work. First day replaced the furnace, it was up and running by the end of the day. Day 2 they started installing the A/C unit. Every day they cleaned up, making sure we, and our grandchildren would be safe, leaving nothing dangerous. The entire crew HVAC, Plumber, gas piper, and electrician were conscientious of keeping our carpet, and house clean, taking off shoes, or donned bootees. Every step of the work being done was explained, double checked that it was what we wanted. Beau the plumber was excellent! He hated telling me that the old pipes were in need of replacement. I knew this was a high likelihood, as the house is over 69 years old. And the pipes were original. He got right to work, he made sure we had running water before he left all but one day. Which was very nice. The water heater move and install went fast! He found the basement bathroom had pipes that were illegal in homes. He was advantageous in having me call the county, as he was certain the basement bathroom was not legal. He spent over 4 hours pleading the case with the county for allowing him to fix the problems found. The county agreed to let him fix the bathroom, and they certified it. (If he hadn't done this, likely the county would have ordered the bathroom completely gutted, and plans submitted for a complete rebuild!) A huge thank you to Beau!!! The rest of the work is now complete. We only have Sheetrock to repair, Roth was able to recommend "The Patchman" and he will start Thursday. Roth Heating and Cooling is a wonderful local company! I look forward to a long relationship with them!"

"I purchased the Angie's List Deal for routine maintenance of my A/C unit by Sun Glow in preparation for the summer season.  They have a great reputation in my neighborhood and sponsor a lot of local events so I figured I could trust them.  I was not contacted after purchasing the deal within the two day window, so I called Sun Glow.  They advised they are no longer doing the voucher program with Angie's List and were surprised I was able to purchase one.  They scheduled my service and advised they would honor the voucher.
The technician showed up on time, answered my questions and performed the routine maintenance on the A/C as requested.  I didn't watch the tech but I heard him working on the unit in the garage and the A/C system on the side of the house for about an hour.  He advised all systems were functioning normally and the system was thoroughly cleaned, which I didn't doubt because his hands were quite dirty.  I thought everything went very well.
A couple hours after the tech left, I noticed the heater was not turning on.  I checked the thermostat and it indicated there was no power line connected to the system.  I went to the garage and pulled off the front cover of the furnace.  That's when the interior electronics cover panel fell loosely to the ground.  The safety switch which closes when the panel is secured to the furnace was duct taped, and it obviously didn't hold.  The tape came undone and the switch opened, causing the power to shut off to the unit.  I found the two screws in the bottom of the furnace and secured the panel in place.  I also found two more screws that I have no idea where they came from.  
The system is back up and running and I think the unit was properly serviced, but the tech putting the system back together improperly is unprofessional.  If the tech thought he lost the screws, there was a tool bench right next to the furnace with spare screws we could have used.  At least be honest and tell me the situation, offer to return to fix it, or call another technician to help you.  Duct tape to close a safety switch?  Not safe and not professional.
