A friend from Framingham recommended Horizon Appliance Solutions but said they only work in the Ashland area and I live in Boston. A gentleman answered my call was very polite. I explained my situation and the difficulties I’m having finding someone to do the work. He reassured me that someone will come see the job by the end of that same day. They came same day, did the work and charged less than 3 other quotes I received. I cannot thank them enough. In difficult times so good to know there still are good people. "Had a spill that rendered my microwave unusable (power surge). I called the manufacturer and they would take 5d to come and evaluate the issue for a set fee. If I decided to use them the service fee was not counted toward the repair. Found TheJetFix on-line and called. They were out within 1d, diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. The repair could not be completed as there was additional damage. They ordered another part and ultimately fixed the issue. This was important to me as I did not want to get rid of a perfectly good appliance and add to the ever growing landfills. Also, a new unit would have cost me more that 2x the repair (Thermador microwave). Arthur and John were great. Both courteous and professional and passed whatever savings they could on to me. Cannot say enough about this service. You will not be disappointed if you hire them. By the way, their service fee was counted toward my repair! Good business practice!"

"Our 4-year-old microwave stopped working (no display, nothing). After doing some research online I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It started humming very loudly and displayed a PF (power failure) error, indicating a blown fuse or a control board failure. Wintley Baptiste from The Equipment Doctors stopped by two days after I made contact through Angi. He diagnosed the problem as a failed control board and said he would have to order the part and come back in 7-10 days to install it. He gave me an estimated price for the part and labor to install it and asked if I wanted to proceed. I said yes (if I had said no, I would owe $150 for the visit and diagnosis). Wintley called a week later, saying he had the part and could stop by that same day to install it. He did so and the microwave is working fine. The price to repair the microwave was $330. By comparison, a new microwave would have cost at least $500."
