"I was having a problem with getting hot water, Brian inspected the hot water heater and determined that I should replace it. He offered options on repairing it but based on the age and condition of the unit I decided to replace it . Brian offered a 40 gallon heater to replace the 30 gallon. Good choice! I will have Brian back to do more work at my house . I highly recommend him. He does great work at a fair price!"

"We replaced all 16 double-hung windows in the house. We replaced 3 of them that are behind obstructions such as counters and furniture with sliding windows. The sliding windows are so much easier to open and close than the double hung. They estimated a 12 week wait time, but were able to obtain and install in 8 weeks. The installers were professional and efficient. They arrived around 9 AM and were finished and cleaned up by 2:30 the same day. Were are very happy with the look and quality of the windows and the quality of the installation."

We removed the old lighting, did some of the recessed lighting layout, and obtained the materials (he reviewed to make sure it was OK). "I needed to remove a 40 year old bathtub & install a shower I also needed the flooring replace in the bath area & dressing room. Initially, I wasn't sure about using Remodel USA due to some of the reviews. I met with the representative & when I saw the quality product (Kohler), was able to select what I wanted & have a flexible timeline for work & payments... I was glad I selected this company. I had 1 glitch as the installed shower door was not the 1 I selected. The Project Manager noted the error, obtained the correct door & it was installed. The workmanship is very good & I appreciated the conscientious skills of Edgar, his assistant, Salvador & his wife. "This was an experiment for me in use of an interior designer online.  THe consultant was helpful in directing me to useful websites to review products and encouraged me to look widely and that was useful. Otherwise I found it difficult to use her services. The online aspect is one reason - looking at colors, e.g. wall colors and considering them for a particular space is difficult to do given than monitors and lighting change the look of things. Also, one cannot get the sense of e dimensional space from 2 dimensional tools
 In addition,  she was only allowed to advise me on one room and I have an open space that includes living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which had to be considered together. It was frustrating that she was not allowed to think about the other spaces when I had to think about all of them together.
The designer pushed me to choose a rug before choosing living room furniture but I preferred to choose the furniture first as it is more difficult to replace.  She was not able to be flexible on this account. Also, when I did not seem interested in buying through their service she seemed to loose interest.
It often took several days for the consultant to get back to me. That is the area where I most fault the individual as opposed to the set up of online consulting. 
In the end, I made my own choices and am happy with them. The experience gave me more confidence in my own instincts.
