"Emillio was very informative and very prompt on getting everything done. He started off doing drywall mud texture and paint. After he completed this we hired him for our shower in the bathroom! Next we will be hiring him for baseboards and doors! Very satisfied with work completed"

"Do NOT recommend NoCo Accents. We hired them for basement framing, and the crew made a serious mistake by pushing our main waste line upward to make framing easier?something that could have caused major drainage issues if not caught. When I raised this, the owner said their framers are ?not professional plumbers? and were just following the blueprint, which is concerning. Basic common sense should prevent altering a main waste line, and it raises concerns about other homes having hidden issues. Not accounting for the waste line in the blueprint is also a major oversight. On top of that, we were charged an excessive disposal fee, yet the crew used my property as a dump, piling trash in the field instead of disposing of it properly. Between the poor planning, workmanship, and pricing, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere."

"I expected someone to come in and throw up some walls and I’d have a shower remodel. What a pleasant surprise when Jim sent an estimate and told me his plans. My shower is beautiful. The tile work is superb. All the work he and Carlos did to get to the point of tile work was impressive and comforting. The plumbing and framing was so professional. I am more than pleased. I would definitely use Integrity Remodeling Services again."

"My wife and I hired Tyson to add a bedroom and bathroom in our unfinished basement. We had a pretty tight budget and Tyson was happy to coordinate with us on portions of the project that we could handle such as priming, painting, and light fixture installation in order to help keep costs down. His communication was always prompt and professional, the subcontractors he hired performed excellent work, and the entire project exceeded our expectations and gave us a wonderful living space for guests. Would definitely recommend Tyson for a project of any scope and would not hesitate for an instant to hire him again. Thank you, Tyson!"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Wellington, CO

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
