"I came home from work to find all my drains were not draining. I tried some basic troubleshooting, but could not figure out the issue. I called heritage ( which was after hours). Within an hour, the technician Derek arrived, I gave all the information to him, and he started immediately. We narrowed it down to an issue with the septic. 10pm we are outside digging up the septic to get a look. Dereks knowledge and experience quickly identified the issue. The whole time he was friendly and informative. It didnâ t matter the time of night it was, he was determined to fix the issue. He was repairing in a way that would keep the cost down. That rarely happens with contractors. Within 30 minutes, he had the main drain cleared from the house to the septic. Derek even took the effort to double check from the opposite end in my house to make sure it was up to his standards. The whole time he is sharing knowledge and explaining the cause and effects and how the system is designed. When the job was finished, we went over the invoice. I couldnâ t believe the price! "I was very happy with Wind River's service. The woman who answered the phone and scheduled the appointment was knowledgeable and clearly explained the process and what to expect. <br /> The service tech was very patient and answered all of my questions. But he said if it continued he'd call New England Drain Service. He told me they were honest and very good at what they do. Well, it happened yesterday in a new and alarming manner, Couldn't remember the name, so I called my cousin, who called me back and said they would be here within the hour. And they were. "Our water heater pilot went out the day after Thanksgiving.  We managed to get it back on, but it kept going back off.  On a holiday weekend, very few companies even returned the call by Monday.  But Dan Sweet called back promptly.  Although he was available to come out on Saturday, we were able to get the pilot back on ourselves to get us through til Monday morning.  <br /> On Monday morning (today) Dan came out first thing.  He discovered that our gas-fired tank water heater, which was near the end of its life, was vented in a substandard and unsafe way, and that a valve associated with the pilot lighting system was malfunctioning so that relighting the pilot was a dangerous act.  <br /> By chance, we had been considering a new high-efficiency boiler with integrated water heater, to be done in the spring.  We already had a quote from another firm to do this job and were leaning toward going with that company in the spring.  After the water heater mishap, we asked Larry Sweet to give us a proposal to do the same kind of integrated high-efficiency boiler and hot water system, and they are very competitive.  Turns out they've installed hundreds of boilers locally in the past several years, including at our church, at the local farm, and throughout our neighborhood.  So that we don't have to rush into a boiler replacement in wintertime, and given the unsafe state of our old water heater, Sweet offered to lend us (at no cost) an electric water heater they had on hand, installing it the same day (and removing our dangerous old water heater) so that we wouldn't have to go without hot water for even one day.  They made it clear that we are under no obligation to have them install a new system, even though we are using their spare electric water heater for what could be a few months. <br /> Larry and Dan Sweet really went way over and above to help us today.  No company could be expected to do what they did for us, and we are very grateful.  They are very personable, expert at what they do, take pride in high quality work, and they engender a high level of trust.  Not to mention they are a family-run local business that has been serving our area for 70 years.  They truly represent a different kind of company.  This is the kind of company that once you find, you don't let go. <br />"

"We called them to clear the tub drain, which we thought might have been the cause of an occasional foul odor in the bathroom. Sam snaked the tub drain, found the root cause of the "clog" (a loose screw in the drain).   Since there really wasn't a real clog, we talked further about what might be causing the odor.  After I mentioned the toilet was recently re-seated after we tiled the bathroom floor, he suggested the root cause might be a bad toilet seal (wax ring), even though there was no leak.  So, I asked him to go ahead and check that out.  He then removed/replaced the bad seal on the toilet, and he is pretty confident that was the problem, since the toilet was not properly re-seated after the tile installation (we'll see soon enough).  I had contacted them the night before based upon a recommendation from Billy Jones of Rainbow International, also of Beverly.  They responded to my request for service (via Angie's List) within the hour, and came out the next morning as promised.  He got right to work, and completed the job ion about an hour and a half.  I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them."
