"Contractor Recommendation: Norfolk County Heating & Cooling Our 1895 refurbished Victorian's 3rd-floor mini split unit needed repair. Leaking lines were replaced. A chemical reaction between the copper line and wrapped insulation caused pinhole leaks in the line set. Manufacturers recalled that the warranty had expired and the unit was cooling poorly. Four contractors were contacted for estimates. Owner Patrick and project supervisor Renato excelled. They quickly listened and explained the problem, process challenges, and possible solutions. The price given was accurate and a fraction of the others I received. That worried me until it became clear the other contractors had quoted outrageous pricesâ either their company was understaffed and didn't want the small project or thought the customer was ignorant. The other contractors pressured us to upgrade from line replacement to system overhaul. One refused to provide an itemized breakdown of the FIVE times Norfolk H&C estimate but continued contacting me to finalize the sale without changing the price or explanation. Renato visited the day before the appointment to take additional photographs and check his materials. On replacement/installation day, Renato and his assistant were punctual and polite, knocked and asked permission before entering the property, and were great to our small dog. They avoided disturbing a newly planted lawn and cleaned the house and area. Renato showed me the finished project, how he installed it, what he replaced, and its system testing. I highly recommend Norfolk County Heating & Cooling for any HVAC projectâ one of our most remarkable home contracting experiences."

"I would genuinely give negative stars if I could. This place dramatically over charged me for the top of the line Lennox system. Which has never worked. I have asked repeatedly for them to refund my money and rip it out of my house over the years (documented). But then again why would they when they could keep charging me to keep repairing and replacing parts every year or two even when it's under warranty. I have gone through 3 Compressors (need a fourth so they are telling me now and the replacement parts only have a year warranty). I am on my 3rd evaporator coil (they kept finding leaks they denied existed until they would inject dye into the lines, but only after charging for several system recharges needed for the leaks). They would charge me for cleaning the system which most of the time they wouldn't do leaving me to hose it off or buy cleaner from the store (after I paid for the service). They didn't install anything correctly and the indoor unit (air handler) would pool up "

"Young man who came to do the job told us that they sent him to 3 wrong houses before they found ours. He proceeded to unclog the drain in the basement using the mechanical drain. Took him maybe an hour to clear it and also ran our sinks and toilets to make sure we wouldn?t have another problem. The young man left our house, however proceeded to sit in his running van, parked in my parking spot. I had no issues with this service until I saw the bill. $1000 to snake a drain for an hour? When we inquired about the bill they told us that their rate is 300$ an hour and that the job took 3 hours. In my opinion, if it takes you 3 hours to snake a drain, then someone should be fired or retrained at their job. My assumption is that their scheme involved sending this young man to multiple wrong houses and him sitting in my driveway for a prolong period of time, so that they could charge us for 3 hours of ?work.? "
