"Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it."

"I highly recommend Advantage Roofing. The owner, Tim Mallory arrived on time for the initial inspection and quoted a fair price for a new roof, gutters, leaf guards and a minor chimney repair. I had received another quote for the same work from a large local company. Their quote included substantial repairs to my chimney which were not needed. I had it confirmed by independent inspection from a local chimney specialty company that the repair as quoted by Tim was perfectly adequate and proper for my situation. "Someone came out to check our interior and exterior walls. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said there were no major leaks in the mortar that were visible and the leaks were most likely coming from behind the gutter. He explained that the gutter would need to be removed, meaning I would need to hire a roofer since they do not deal with gutters or roofing and that I would end up paying for two jobs. He suggested instead that I find a roofer that would remove the gutter who was skilled enough to do the necessary tuckpointing to save us money. He also looked at the interior damage and told us the materials to buy because we said we wanted to repair that ourselves. He was extremely helpful and gave us the most economical suggestions rather than booking repairs with them and hiring a roofer. "We were very happy with the job Greg did. He came out to give us an estimate in a timely manner. He was very thorough in assessing the problems with our chimney. We have an older house, and so he did a walk-around to check the rest of our masonry.
We had mentioned to Greg that we had some water damage in the house but we didn't know where it was coming in. While he was working, he noticed  that our front porch roof needed new flashing, and that may be the source of our moisture problem. He recommended a person to do the job. We had also asked him about some concrete work that we need done, and he gave us helpful advice and an estimate on that work as well. 
Greg was always on time and professional. Rain interrupted things, but Greg and his associate, John, were on the job as soon as the weather permitted, and even came on Saturday morning to finish up.
We are very confident in the work that he did. Other estimates that we received included replacing the cap, but Greg recognized that the cap we had was a very good one, so he was able to paint it rather than replace it. Greg noticed that there was a brick missing at the roof line. He happened to have an old brick that matched ours, and fixed that as well. 
Greg is a truly nice person. (He and John even took a few minutes to help our son with his car.)
