"Lenny showed us the dishwasher hookups were too distroyed & old to fix. He got us a new GE stainless front dishwasher to match our refrigerator, returned in several days, removed the old and installed the new. He was efficient, understanding, pleasant and a neat worker. The problem we were having with our bottom oven also was fixed when he replaced the old igniter. We are going to use him in the spring for painting our house foundation and railings. We are so satisfied with his professionalism and capabilities we would recommend him to anyone as he is certainly a wonderful handyman."

"Al responded right away after I posted the job at 9PM on Friday. I called him Saturday morning, and he came in two hours and fixed the dryer which was not heating up. He also quoted me an extremely reasonable price. He is knowledgeable, courteous and professional! Will definitely ask for his service again if anything in the house breaks."

"Justin arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the circuit board. He advised me to call him if there were any further problems. The next day I experienced the same temperature control issues that prompted my original call. I called Justin and a second appointment was scheduled. On the second visit, Justin replaced an additional part and everything has been fine since. I am happy with the work that Justin performed and would certainly recommend him to others."

"Pat was very responsive to my message and within a couple of days he was at the house repairing the appliances. He also conducted additional inspections and suggested I change the dryer's vent hose. When I asked why he showed me and I am glad I went ahead with the replacement."

"I looked for a/c repair on a Sunday, not expecting any replies. To my surprise, Clark Forbes not only replied but said he would be able to come out later in the day. He kept in communication to let me know approx. time of arrival. he came out and got it running. my central a/c is 51 years old with no parts ever replaced. It still had some issues that could not be solved without additional parts likely needed. he checked on parts available for such an old unit the next day as promised. he kept in communication all the next day and discussed what direction I wanted to go with such an old unit. we agreed that if it quits in the future we might continue with parts, but would have to evaluate the rational cost of fixing a 51-year-old unit /versus replacement. I would recommend his services to anyone and his quick response and constant communication were wonderful in this day and age of people not getting back to you."

"Estimator came out quickly, was very personable, and could schedule my install appointment a few weeks later right then and there. When the tech came out he was polite, efficient, and very quick.  Overall I was very happy with the service and would recommend them to others if the price is competitive with another company.

"It was a pleasure working with Dean's Service.  They accommodated my work schedule and fit me into their schedule.  They men who came to do the work were punctual, courteous and efficient. Upon looking at the ductwork it was decided that scrubbing was needed in addition to the vacuuming.  I had several questions, which were answered by the workman but the owner also called me personally to ask if I had any additional questions or concerns.  I will be recommending  Dean's Service to my friends and clients and I recommend that you call and set up an appointment now.

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in West Grove, PA

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
