"Tommy and his team did a great job on our chimney! Once it finally stopped raining Tommy and his crew got to work and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Anytime I texted Tommy he would respond answering any questions I had. His work was top notch, rebuilt the crown (which looks bomb proof) and cut out the brick mortar out down to the roof line. Tuck pointed and painted my chimney. Not single drop of water has come in since he finished his work. They cleaned up all materials afterwards too! Really pleased that we hired Tommy Mattingly Masonry, I will be using him again in the future for any of my masonry needs."

"If we could give Dimmett's Home Repair Service a higher grade than A, we would! Absolutely outstanding work and great customer service. They are very ethical, honest, professional and trustworthy. We had our bathroom, kitchen and our basement remodeled (and we added numerous other projects to the list when they were here). They worked with us on all of our requests. We live in an older house that had extensive water damaged over the years (much worst then anyone anticipated). Both Lee and Jason provided recommendations and solutions to everything that was needed. They finished the job nearly two weeks ahead of schedule and they came in under budget (which is an accomplishment in itself). We cannot Thank them enough for their honesty, their work ethic and the quality of work. We will using them again in remodeling the rest of our home. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Dimmett's Home Repair Service. Angela and Scott"

"Jeff and his team were timely in each step of the process. Jeff listened to us and had a clear understanding on what results we wanted and he delivered. Other than the new look, the work area and yard looked undisturbed when finished. Nice job. His crew were professional, courteous and hard workers. I highly recommend About Brick and Concrete."

"The front side gate to my house had all but fallen off its hinges and was long overdue to be replaced. It had gotten to the point where I had to body-check it each time I went in and out. I called around to a number of fence and gate repair/installation companies that I found on Yelp and Nextdoor and was disappointed in how hard it was to even get a call back from some places. And then after going on Angies List I met with Michael Gilmore the owner of Gillie's Fence Corp. and I noticed quickly that the expertise levels ranged pretty widely. One company refused the job outright because of the skill and craftsmanship that would be required. However, Michael did everything to make me feel comfortable as if I could trust him with babysitting my own children. After meeting with Gillie's Fence Corp., on the other hand, I felt confident in their craftsmanship abilities and I appreciated how they listened closely to my wishes. I wanted the Gate to look the same as it had before with its beautiful Wrought Iron Style and Red Wood Stain but semi-traditional style to go with a Midtown-style house. When I learned of their practice of always using an iron-frame on their gate installations, l wasn't sure if it would look too modern for my house, but they explained to me that they could match the iron with the color of the wood wood and also supplied me with information about the benefits of such a frame. Once I hired them, they took down all the specs and set to work on the gate from their workshop. It took about 1 week for them to finish - much earlier than I expected! And I am so happy to say that I now have a beautiful new RV access double gate that looks and operates spectacular. It matches my design better than I wished. It fits perfectly and feels very sturdy and well-made. Thanks so much to Gillie's Fence Corp.and Michael the owner for being so personable and professional!! Also congratulations on graduating at Sac State Michael. Stingers Up!!!!"

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in West-louisville, KY

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
