"Do NOT pay ahead!! My tree cutting and stump removal was dragged on for weeks, and was only completed after multiple phone calls. The job was done well, but I did not appreciate having to make multiple calls to remind them/ask them, when they were coming to do the work, and later, when they were coming to complete the work."

"Almstead removed a tree from my property in NJ I was FULLY satisfied with the job handled by the team assigned. I took a few photos and videos of the team hard at work, as they were persistent in getting the tree removed in one day; and they did IT! I donâ  t normally provide a vendor testimony, but the Almsted family did a fabulous job and was totally dedicated and committed to ensure the customer was satisfied and happy. If you ever need tree services, I highly recommend Almstead tree services as the company to use. A Satisfied Customer!"

"Eddy and his team trimmed seven pine trees for us, and the result was
outstanding. Excellent service! They were prompt, friendly, and very professional.
Very fair price, great work, cleaned up everything
(couldn't tell they had even been here, except for the outcome). Eddy
really knows his trees, and we recommend Double Tree with our
highest recommendation!"

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in West Orange, NJ

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
