"They were very fast to respond to my call and were able to send someone within two hours. The replacement of the hot water heater went well. For the water pipes they use copper crimp fittings instead of soldering so it will be interesting to see how that holds up over the years. My only concern is how they ran the gas line. They use Gastite CSST which is fine, but the CSST is run so it goes downward then back up and then downward again before it enters black pipe that has a moisture trap. It seems to me that if there is any moisture it will end up in the CSST instead of the trap. In addition, there is a pretty good bend in the CSST right before it goes into the trap section. Also, Teflon tape was used on the all the joints instead of joint compound. I think I will get someone from a different company to come in and take a look at it."

They tested the new system carefully, put explanatory tags on all of the relevant pipes and faucets, and cleaned up well. The team members were polite and worked hard. "Highly satisfied AGAIN in a second job with Mouradian (hot water heater earlier). This time was a replacement of leaking cast iron sink waste pipe imbedded in the wall/floor between two condo unit bathrooms. Eric Mouradian is very no-nonsense, fast in his estimates, and reasonable in his pricing. The plumber who did the job, Rich, was excellent: friendly, efficient, and clear about what was going on. He understood immediately that his first instinct, to open up the ceiling and wall of the downstairs bathroom should be avoided if possible, to limit wall repairs to one bathroom instead of two. And he then quickly figured out how to do it and did it. The cost was considerably less than the quote of a competitor, who misdiagnosed the problem at first, refused to put his quote in writing, and showed no interest in keeping wall damage to a minimum. No comparison."

"We have had several Sila visits in recent months - all exceptional. VISIT 1: We had old pipes and valves that limited our dishwasher, so we had that replaced. While there, the Sila agent suggested we replace some of the attached lines and managed to streamline our hookups by removing some of the unneeded valves and connections no longer needed. VISIT 2: We similarly had a great visit and instal from David, who did a very beautiful install on our new water heater. He removed the broken unit, improved the connection design, put in improved valves and labelled each with a tag, then tagged other connections through the basement."
