"All work was done in a timely, professional manner.  Shingles and majority of the work was done within two days with a few items finished a few weeks later-a skylight that had to be ordered, etc.
Everyone did a top notch job.  The roofers even went over the grounds two times picking up nails after the job was done, and did a very good job at that.  They were very pleasant folks.  We were glad to have them do the work.
After the ridge vents were installed, I noticed s savings in my electric bill, too.  We wee able to raise our thermostat by 3 degrees and still stayed cool in the last few hot days of summer.  Ridge vents are definitely the way to go.
Thank you, Tony and crew.  Keep up the good work.  I highly recommend Tony's Roofing Service.
The office staff even helped me get my warranty registered with the Certainteed company after the work had been completed.

"George and his team were very professional, showed up on time or called if they were going to be late, cleaned up after themselves and completed the job in a timely manner. He drove all over the Houston area to find the specific trim tile we needed. He did not charge us any more than the original estimate. The resulting shower and floor look gorgeous and we are very happy with his professionalism and the quality of his work.
I highly recommend George Hollis Construction and we will definitely use him again when we have additional repairs or remodeling work to be done."

FAQs for arbor, pergola or trellis custom build projects in Wharton, TX

Pergolas and gazebos are both outdoor structures, but there are differences between the two. A pergola has a slatted roof that allows partial sunlight to filter through, creating a light and airy space. In contrast, a gazebo features a solid roof that provides complete shade. This key difference influences the comfort and visual appeal of your outdoor space.

Prefabricated pergola kits require one to four hours of assembly, while custom pergola designs take an average of eight to 16 hours. Additional groundwork, such as pouring a concrete slab, leveling the site, and removing obstructions, may extend the installation process to several weeks, ensuring a secure and long-lasting build.

A standard pergola kit ships with everything you need—four support posts, rafters, top runners, support beams, and hardware for anchoring the frame to a concrete pad. Many manufacturers also bundle add-ons like retractable canopies, privacy screens, or modular sections that let you tweak the footprint. Because each part is pre-cut and labeled, the kit helps you—or your contractor—assemble a sturdy, attractive structure without extra trips to the hardware store.
