He did an absolute wonderful job showing me what the issues were underneath the trim, telling me options, even consulted a builder friend of his to confirm the best possible solution. The final result was spectacular and you can tell the care and pride he takes in his work. He was transparent with pricing and what he was going to do, and he asked me several times my opinion about the the work to be done and the appearance. He also arrived when he said he would and completed the work carefully but efficiently . He will be my go to person from now on if we need any handyman services in our home. "We called Machen for an estimate to tear off our old roof on our house and detached garage. They were very responsive and Jodi even came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable regarding the materials and products we needed, and we were impressed that he actually climbed the roof to take all of the measurements, where other contractors we had contacted did not. The estimate we received was fair considering that the roof deck would need wrapped and the amount of ice guard we needed. Jodi and his team were on time every day and got right to work. They took their time on the job and were very conscientious about the work performed to ensure it was done correctly. Jodi takes a lot of pride in ensuring the job site remains neat and takes a lot of care to ensure they thoroughly clean up before leaving for the day. We ran into heavy rain halfway through the project and Jodi even came out on the weekend to ensure that the roof was water tight before the rain hit. The new roof looks great and we are very pleased with the end result!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
