"it went great.  Jim is the nicest person.  my only complaint is that since Jim and his co-worker have such excellent beards, at this time of the year I think it would be appropriate for guys with white beards on my roof and hanging around my chimney....to be wearing red suits.  I would have paid extra for this.  <br />"

"Kyle and his crew did a fantastic job and left the site clean and tidy (actually cleaner than before they started work)... job also took a day less than original estimate. Could not be more pleased with their professionalism and efficiency. Would recommend Azalea City Roofing to anyone needing repair or total replacement."

"From the estimate, where all my questions were answered to questions asked while making my decision, Freeman stood out far and above all the other Roofing Companies. My roof was put on yesterday. Prompt on time arrival through to the clean up of all material, including looking for any fallen nails with a metal detector, I am more than happy with Freeman Roofing. Would recommend them to everyone."

"Don Hickman personally came out to our house, walked through what the steps will be for the processs from ordering metal sheeting, to how the crew will work through the steps to laying the roof.  Cleanup was discussed, as tarps will be layed over landscaping, nails will be picked up, magnetic roller will go through to ensure all nails are removed.  Signed the contract and provided a start date and supply order date."

"Very good contractor to deal with and came in at a much lower price than competitors. Office staff and roofing crew were polite, pleasant, and accommodating. Doug was very understanding of our concerns and willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. Despite temps. In the high 90's, the highly motivated crew worked 13 hours, the first day and had 95 percent of the roof installed. They were done by noon of the second day, including a very good cleanup and inspection. We could not be happier. If you need a roof installed, I would look no further than Don Reed Consruction"

"Paul Spicer and his excellent helper worked for 3 days on my leaking metal roof project. Not only did they stop the leak, they made the huge wooden chimney look 100% better than before. They removed metal roof panels, designed and installed a cricket to stop the leak. They removed most of the wood around the chimney and reinstalled it with screws, caulking and paint. I am so proud of the way it looks. And it rained yesterday and my roof did not leak. What a relief !! Vern Spicer, Paul's father worked with me when they built my cottage 8 years ago. It was a pleasure working so closely with Paul. He carries on the fine tradition of Spicer Construction. I would highly recommend Spicer Construction for building, remodeling, repairing your home. <br />"

"I'm so glad I persevered and found this company. Stable Foundation Solutions is based in Lake City but does work throughout the state. In fact, South Florida is their most frequent destination. The company is a bit of a hidden gem right now due to admittedly being slow to update the website and gain footing on the review sites. Stable Foundation was logical and analytical throughout, focusing on my needs, not what they could sell via scare tactics and worst case scenarios. Foundation diagnosis and estimates are all over the map. I found that out the hard way. Basic reason: You can’t see what is going on underneath. That bedroom sink hole several years ago accelerated public fear. I sampled 6 companies. Estimates ranged from $3600 to above $24,000. Stable Foundation wasn’t lowest but among the lowest and easily the best value in terms of sensibly addressing areas of greatest need, while leaving scare tactics alone. In contrast, I had one high profile company (beginning with N) whose salesman launched convulsions every time he turned the corner: “That’s a stepladder crack…the worst sign of all.” I think he expected me to fall down in a seizure of terror. As a handicapper I love litmus tests. There was a basic one with my project. The back addition to the house was clearly slipping, but just as obviously the two corners were not under identical stress. Back was the long term problem, not the sides. Yet one company after another was robotically assigning two piers on each side, and only one in each back corner. I didn’t say anything. I waited for someone to pass the litmus test. It was mindful of my 24 years in the Las Vegas betting scene. Finally Steven from Stable Foundation matter of factly identified the logical remedy and placement: Two push piers at each back, and only one on the less troubled side. Steven also was the only one who placed back push piers on either side of a double door that was sticking and very difficult to lock. Again, I intentionally didn’t mention that it was sticking. I wanted someone to identify the likelihood, based on the cracked visuals. Only Steven did. I really appreciated that the 3-man project crew was knowledgable and offered input, as opposed to merely showing up to complete the job. Randall was crew leader. He quickly investigated why I had cracks and sinking in so many areas. I had assigned it to a deep crack in the pool, causing erosion underneath. Randall didn’t think so. He saw the spot drain but couldn’t find anywhere it emptied. That is my only pool drain. Randall removed the drain grate and discovered that I’ve essentially had a dummy drain for 40+ years, dumping water under the foundation of the house, smack near the middle. There was 3 inches of pipe underneath the grate, but not connected to anything. Just resting there. From lack of disturbance it was obvious the pipe had never been connected. I remember my dad didn’t trust that contractor from the outset. It was mid ‘70s and one problem and delay after another. The contractor for that addition became a curse word within the family. My dad passed away several years ago. I doubt he would be surprised at the latest discovery. Miss Debbie was friendly and positive while handling payment. Only 30% was required prior to completion...lower than other companies. Travis as Project Manager provided a specific schedule 2 weeks in advance. They met the schedule. One caution: Don't paint exterior walls prior to push pier installation. The Model 300 mechanism does tend to vibrate and can bump against walls, requiring modest patching."

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair.  The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. <br /> Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. <br /> I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. <br /> WRS <br /> <br />"

"The package was to include caulking and minor repairs, all exterior painting, washing and prepping of all surfaces, and labor. Paint was to be paid for by the homeowner. We ALSO had to purchase the caulking, the blue tape and papers for covering the windows. They were to start on either March 31 or April 1, but when I called Mike to let him know they could start on Apr. 1, he said they had another job to do that day, and they would start on April 2. They did start on April 2nd, but never showed up until almost 10 in the morning, and the same thing happened on the two following days. Mike did very little of the actual work, he left many, many times, especially on the first 2 days. He seemed to spend a lot of time on his cell phone, when the others were working. His "helpers', Julian and Marty, did 90% or more of the actual work, and they worked well. On the third day, when they thought they were done and were packing up to leave, we had to point out to them areas that needed to be touched up or finished. They also had to use our ladders which were in our garage, as they didn't seem to have any of their own. <br />     I also hired Mike to pressure wash our pool deck and fence, and we'd agreed on a price ($200) but the work was done by Marty and Julian, again. Mike told me at least 3 times during the course of the 3 days that he hadn't been paid by Angie's List yet, that Angie's List took 30% of his pay, and asked more than once about the price of the pressure washing. I told him that I paid up front for the entire job when I contracted him on Angie's List. We were considering having some additional staining or painting work done to the fence by Mike, but changed our minds by the third day. I feel that he may be having some financial stress, but that is not my concern with a contractor. I expect the contractor to keep his personal problems to himself. <br />"
