Matt Harden immediately took care of scheduling the repairs and promptly paying the vendors without any haggling/hassling. Peggy, the owner, has been a real professional to deal with. They will not be mowing after this season, so we'll need that service supplied by another vendor."

"Over a period of a couple of days the Earthwood Arts crew did spring cleanup on the yard, mulched, trimmed lawn edges.  It looks fantastic, and my neighbors continue to make favorable comments.
This is the 4th year that we have worked with Earthwood Arts, and each year they build on what they've done the year before.  They take a definite pride in their work, which is consistently excellent.  And their cleanup is impeccable.
The crew is always friendly and professional, and they all listen intently to comments and questions.  It is a pleasure to work with them.

"This is difficult as 2 companies became involved and I give different ratings for each. 
They were prompt and work was I postponed for the remaining two.  However, when I called back a year or so later to schedule, was told that the firm had been taken over by American Crawlspace, Orland Park.  They filled the 2 recommended at much higher price, as well as a 3rd which has not held up.   Did not return my call at first - eventually came back and offered to do more work at additional $800.  Did not guarantee previous work and offered no guarantee for any subsequent work.  I do not think they have a clue what the underlying problem may be.  They promised to follow up but have not.  I was satisfied with original company but would not recommend American Crawlpace

"Arrived on time looked over the s determined best route. 811 people had marked the area the crew used caution anytime there they were near a buried cable or pipe. They worked very steady and communicated with AES who was also on site. Very pleased."

"I called to see if septic could be pumped soon as I had experienced a blockage and while it was again flowing, I knew it had not been pumped in 10+ years.  Cold weather had just hit with predictions of snow.  We tentatively scheduled for between 11 & 2:00 the next day (weather permitting).   Next morning I missed their initial call at 10:30 and was afraid they would not show, but at just a little after 11:00 they were here!  Hooked up in just a minute  (I have easy access and knew where the lid was). The sludge was thicker than it should have been, but their pump was able to handle it and we were finished in 15 minutes or so (normally an 8 minute pump per Knox).  We had agreed on a price of $195 beforehand on the phone (1st 1000), but I was afraid it would be higher due to thickness.  We talked about the system, etc., past experiences with the septic.  As an invoice was written I asked how much to make payment for and was told it would be $185 with the Angie's list discount.  It was very cold out and I asked the guy to come in out of the cold, but he politely refused saying he was dirty.  I knew about the Angie's list discount but did NOT mention it to them, though in conversing outside I did mention joining so as to get reviews.  To their credit, they gave me the discount.  Not much, but appreciated, none the less.  Sometimes you just can't beat an honest  'mom & pop' business.
