"My 20+ year old wood deck needed replacement. I decided to go with a Trex deck but I also needed replacement of cedar stairway railings from my sun porch down to ground level. I'm an experienced homeowner and know the importance of picking the right contractor. I researched deck companies thoroughly starting with lists from Trex, Angi, and Mann's Lumber. I checked the overall ratings, and read a lot of the posted comments. From that I developed a list of six that I actually contacted. I settled on four that I invited to review the project and estimate the job. From there I chose Cedar Works and I couldn't be more impressed with the job they did in every way from start to finish. Robert, who met initially with me and developed the estimate was prompt, professional, and answered all of my questions. Once they began the work, I was amazed at how smoothly the different aspects of the job were perfectly orchestrated. Material drop off, refuse quickly picked up from the tear down of the old deck, including a separate pick up for the old glass inserts just happened without any reminders from me. Patrick and Michael, the two carpenters assigned to the job, were very efficient and their work on the deck and railings most importantly was first rate. I looked over the Trex deck and the custom cedar railings carefully and all are as close to perfect as I could have imagined. Jamie, the owner, checked in with me a couple of times as well. If you are doing a deck project I strongly suggest you give these guys a call. You won't be disappointed."

"Ken, the owner and his brother Mark, did a great job. Both guys are very professional and clearly know and do their trade well. I got a quote from Ken in early March 2021. Ken was prompt and did a good job understanding the scope of work. Ken promptly answered questions I had and overall communication was excellent. After getting 4 quotes, I decided on Newcoat based on Angi reviews, a decent price and my subsequent interaction with Ken. The house was painted in early June (on schedule as I had other projects needing completion first.). Right away I knew I had made a good choice, as Ken's eye for detail and his desire to ensure I was happy with the work were evident. Ken replaced several trim / fascia boards at no additional cost and used only premium Sherwin Williams (Emerald) paint. The weather did not cooperate very well, but Ken did not rush to complete the job. Ken and Mark also patched some significant holes in my garage walls and did a great job making the garage look really nice. It's been a month since the work was completed, and we are extremely happy with the work. We would definitely use Newcoat for future paint projects!"
