"I am very pleased with the work Foglio's performed on my house. They tore out the old carpet in two rooms and replaced it with new carpeting that was more dog-frindly. The living room was large, so I was concerned that the seam would be visible but they did a wonderful job with installation. The seam is completely invisible. They moved all of our large furniture and we did not have any issues with damage. The contractors were clean and did the installation while we were out of the country on vacation without any issue. Will certainly use them again in the future."

"I went directly to Empire because several years ago in this same house I called them to replace the carpets and the salesmen told me that the carpets were ok that only needed professional cleaning. The sales person (Joe) that we worked with us was very attentive "until the sale was completed". The carpet installers were punctual and did an ok job. HOWEVER, we lost various pieces in the house including broken lamps and they left a huge mess in the house. After that I called Joe and send a couple of text message with NO response whatsoever. I have to say that the work of the laminate installer (Diego and crew) was excellent and for that reason I give the overall rating as a "C". Another however, the quality of the laminate was not as I expected from the description from Joe. I can say now that Joe is your typical salesmen, with no follow up after the sales is done and to sell for whatever it takes. I definitively don't recommend Empire unless you are really looking for a cheap and fast job. I already told that to my neighbors who were looking for carpets. I know I am a hard rater but is honest and this is what I expect from Angie's list people."

"We had a very good experience working with Just Carpets. One problem we originally had was the installation of leftover hard wood from a previous job we had done in our home.  We went to Lowe?s and also received quotes from two other flooring installers.  They said that they would not install what they did not sell.   <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> We were referred to Just Carpets by a neighbor.  They have two showrooms, one in Howell New Jersey and one in East <br /> <br /> Brunswick.  We went to the one on Route 18 in East Brunswick.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The show room is quite large and very nice.  They had a lot of carpeting to choose from. Our salesperson Pete said there would be no problem installing the hardwood that we had.  Along with installing the new hardwood, we also needed carpet stretched at another residence and we wanted to replace our carpet in the master bedroom.  With a very large selection of carpeting,  Pete was very helpful to us in making our selection.  He also let us take the carpet sample board home with us to make sure we had the right color.    <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Pete worked with us on the price and was extremely competitive.  We set a date for the carpet stretch and flooring <br /> <br /> installation. Pete worked on a Sunday to do the carpet stretch.  While he was in the area, he also delivered the <br /> <br /> primed baseboard trim.  Having the trim in advance, allowed me to paint it so there would be less to do after the <br /> <br /> installation of the hardwood flooring.   <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Most carpet and flooring companies work with subcontractors.  Just Carpets uses subcontractors.  We had two separate contractors, one for the wood flooring and one for the carpeting.  Both showed up on time.  The installation <br /> <br /> of both hardwood and carpeting were excellent.  The installers were pleasant to work with and cleaned up after they had <br /> <br /> finished the job.  We are very pleased with our carpet choice, the installation and professionalism of Just Carpets. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Wildwood, NJ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
