John C at A Action Appliance showed up in the time window provided, had the problem diagnosed/confirmed in approximately 10 minutes. He had the parts replaced and oven back in running order in less than an hour. He was nice, clearly communicated the problem and confirmed full price of repair before completing. Will use again in the future."

Courteous, very amicable and most importantly, he was very knowledgeable. My particular issue was an Lg refrigerator not freezing or keeping either side (of our side-by-side) cool at all. After some exploration, he found that the compressor was not functioning and gave a straight forward explanation of the reason. We were only changed the service fee. Due to age and other factors, we will be getting a new refrigerator. Take away is also that he is an honest man. I will be using him again moving forward and definitely recommending him to all my friends and family."

"It is kind of hit and miss with Choice Home Warranty. I’ve had some good and bad experiences. It seems like Choice sometimes sends low quality providers who show up late or fail to do the work tight the first time. Choice carefully reviews repair items and often doesn’t approve needed repairs, because when a service tech shows up, he won’t fix it the first time and will leave and wait a few days for Choice to approve or deny the claim. So far Choice has approved each claim I’ve had, but we’ve had a few delays. They’re okay and the price is better than everyone else’s, but I worry that if I have a major repair, such as needing a full hvac replacement, Choice won’t come through. Hopefully I never have to deal with that."

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."
