"Stacey Raskey and his colleague did a paint job of our home and shed that far exceeded what I thought was possible in terms of quality and durability. They calked places that have never been sealed before, and their use of peel-bond probably extended the lifecycle of our T1-11 siding by twenty years. I don't believe it is possible for water to infiltrate or for sun to crack our siding. The gentlemen were incredibly focused and unobtrusive, and their preparation of the house for painting is what gave me confidence in how well this paint will last. In the midst of a peak project season Stacey guaranteed he would be finished by a particular date, and he made good on the promise - which was critical to the homeowners in this instance. There was no mess whatsoever for the homeowners to clean up, and I have yet to find one spot of over-spray. I know from researching a lot that the price for our paint job was very reasonable. We could have paid less for a far inferior job; and I'm sure we could have paid slightly more for a good job from a larger company. Margins are thin for everyone out there, and picking this particular contractor was the "just right" balance of fair price for extraordinary quality. Chugiak Restoration and Custom Tile does far more than faultless paint jobs. In July they tiled the back splash for our new kitchen (separate review) and will return this fall to tile our new gas fireplace. We look forward to the next job we need done by such professional, astute contractors."

"I actually used them on 24 August. Frank was very prompt arriving on time and did an excellent job. We also had our front room couch cleaned for additional cost that was very reasonable. "I contacted Jim Burke of Crestone about making a small repair to the 2nd floor deck of my house. After checking more thoroughly it was found there were a number of boards with significant decay. Many of the boards were so bad, there was nothing to hold a screw or nail. The small repair I had in mind would have left the deck dangerous, still not meeting building codes, and would have staved off replacement by only a year or two. Steve, the project manager, made suggestions that resulted in a more through repair and when a glitch was discovered part way though, a modification was made that resulted in an even stronger better looking finished product. Over 30+ years I worked over-seeing a variety of contractors who did every imaginable aspect of construction and maintenance work on the large office building I managed. The scope of the projects varied from adding or removing a door or two to adding 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 square foot, two story additions to the building. The Crestone workers were as good or better than any I worked with. The workers showed up promptly every day, stayed on the job, and completed it without delay. Once they worked all day in a driving rain. They stayed on the job continually and took only a short lunch break. The workers thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day and hauled away debris. In recent years I have wondered how projects get completed as the new acceptable standard appears to be that workers talk and text on their cell phones throughout the workday and take frequent smoke breaks. I saw Crestone’s employees making or taking a phone call only once or twice during the 6 day period and never saw an employee smoking a cigarette. The Crestone labor rate is based on 100% productivity the entire work day without an inefficiency factor for cigarette breaks, talking and texting on cell phones, or breaking and wasting time talking among themselves. The deck looks better and is stronger than when it was originally built in 1991. It looks 100% better than my simple repair would have produced. The shaky, wobbly stairs and rail are now very solid. I highly recommend Creston General for any home or construction job and will call them first for any work I may need to have accomplished."
