"This is the 3rd very positive experience we have had with Green Energy Guard over the past 2 years. Spray foam in a very large area, sound insulation in another large area. additional attic insulation with damning & baffles. Very neat professional experience all around. From the first contact...to the installation process....to the clean up process. A another contractor recommended this company. I would highly recommend I this company for future work. What a breath of fresh air. for a change."

"I RECENTLY HAD MY ATTIC INSULATION REPLACED BY MASTER ATTIC. ALEX CAME OUT RIGHT ON SCHEDULE AND GAVE ME A FAIR PRICE. ( I DID HAVE 4 OTHER ESTIMATES) THE CREW LEAD BY ROBERTO WAS AMAZING. THEY WERE VERY CONSIDERATE, CAREFUL IN MAKING SURE THE AREA WAS SEALED OFF AND WERE VERY CAREFUL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS. THEY DID A GREAT JOB IN REMOVING OLD INSULATION , VACUUMING OUT THE ATTIC ,SPRAYED AREA AND SEALED ANY OPENINGS. BEFORE THEY BROUGHT IN NEW INSULATION, THEY ASKED ME IF I WISHED TO TO VIEW THE ATTIC AND I DID. I WAS AMAZED EVEN AT THIS POINT, HOW CLEANED EVERYTHING LOOKED . (THIS INSULATION HAD BEEN UP THERE FOR 70 YEARS) NEW INSULATION WAS INSTALLED AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE CREWED CLEANED UP EVERYTHING , EVEN VACUUMED THE AREA IN THE ROOM. ALL BAGS OF OLD INSULATION WERE REMOVED PROMPTLY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE."

Customers say: Quick response

"I have to apologize. I thought I reviewed Alligood shortly after the work was done in mid 2015, but apparently messed-up. Jeff Alligood was a pleasure to work with...responsive, professional, and very willing to go the extra mile to help solve our problems. We had squirrels in the attic that trashed the insulation. We scheduled a new roof which included sealing up all the areas where the critters could get in. But then we had to deal with the unhealthy rodent mess. I called over a dozen insulation companies and none were willing to REMOVE insulation. Then I got hold of Jeff thru Angie's List. Not only did they remove all the old, but they also agreed to sanitize both attics. I purchased Odoban from Home Depot which eliminates mold and odors (highly recommended). Jeff's crew sprayed everything and then installed the ducts and insulation. Jeff coordinated the removal and installation to coincide with the roofers so that access could be thru the roof ( which was the only way to access the attic). It all went like clockwork, His team stayed late (7PM+) to insure all was done and the roof sealed up for the night. Before they left they cleaned up so there was no sign they had been working on the house the entire day. Everything was 'All (i) Good' !!! I highly recommend Alligood Energy...!"

"I was extremely worried when I found a leak coming from our roof. When Home Genius Exteriors came out Ryan explained everything very clearly, made me feel comfortable and wasn't scared to get to access any small areas of the attic. Once Joe and his team came out my roof and gutters were done in one day! Joe returned the following day for a final walk through to make sure we weren't anything less than satisfied. Thank you for your wonderful customer service."

"

When I first found out we had bedbugs I was beside myself. After calling multiple companies, I finally reached Glenn from Newtown Pest Control. He was the most reasonable that I had found for pricing for heat treatment! He answered all of my questions and was prompt with sending me an email detailing steps that would need to be taken the day of the treatment. I was also able to reach him (without difficulty) before the scheduled treatment to answer some of my many questions/concerns! The day of the treatment they arrived on time and again were very comforting answering all my questions. It is a horrible feeling to have bedbugs and they were all very reassuring and made it a very easy process. It has been about 3 weeks since the treatment and no signs of any bedbugs since the treatment! I would gladly recommend and/or return to Newtown Pest Control for anything further I may need in that area! Thanks again Glenn (and all your workers as well)!!

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Willow Grove, PA

Old insulation should be removed when it shows damage, contamination, or heavy deterioration. If you notice water stains, rodent droppings, mold, or large gaps, plan on taking it out to protect your home’s energy performance and indoor air quality. Removing compromised material eliminates health hazards, cuts energy loss, and sets the stage for a safer, more efficient attic—all while keeping utility bills in check.

R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow—the higher the number, the better it slows heat transfer. The right R-value keeps your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, saving energy year-round. Match the rating to your climate zone and have a pro verify performance over time, because moisture or settling can lower R-value and cut efficiency.

Attic insulation can stay in place for 80 to 100 years, but its performance often drops after the first 15. As dust, moisture, or mold build up, the material loses R-value and allows heat to escape. Schedule periodic inspections so a pro can tell you when replacement makes sense—helping you keep energy bills down and indoor comfort up.

You can over-insulate an attic. Beyond the recommended R-value, extra layers don’t add efficiency and can trap moisture, leading to mold or reduced performance. A local insulation pro can measure current levels, confirm the right target for your climate, and advise on any adjustments so you avoid future energy or maintenance headaches.

Insulation can be damaged by mold, pests, water leaks, or accidental electrical contact. When the material is compromised, it loses R-value and can introduce health hazards. Removing and replacing affected sections restores efficiency, while routine inspections from a qualified pro help you catch problems early and keep your attic safe and energy-smart.
