"My granite countertops are so beautiful! Rid Stone did such a wonderful job. The whole process was quick and easy from start to finish and the price was affordable ( the best quote). Chelsea was professional, efficient, and friendly and her response to my calls and emails were quick. The installers were meticulous, polite, and left everything very clean. I would highly recommend Rid Stone. I just love my new counters! Than you Rid Stone!"

"Finally decided to replace the tired white laminate with granite, and had seen HGM's ad in local circulars the past few months. After checking them out on Angie's list, I decided to head to their facility in Schiller Park. Be advised that the new interchanges around ORD make finding Pearl Street on the south side of Balmoral difficult, it's offset to the east of the north side Pearl. The number of slabs in their warehouse was smaller than I anticipated based on what others have said about their own shopping experiences, but there was certainly enough to select from, and the stone I was looking for was available. Tom was straight up about pricing, no 'extra charges', no up-selling relative to the price of my home. He showed up the next day to take measurements, and while at my house, came up with a creative way to top a counter height wine cellar with granite to butt up against the full counter length, so it could be moved if necessary.
His crew (2) came out on time three days later. I had already removed all of the old caulking from the old countertops, cleaned the tile, and disconnected all of the plumbing and electrical, and disconnected the disposal from the dishwasher. All the guys had to do was pull the sink out of the old countertop and remove the old laminate. They hauled everything to the garage. I would recommend doing as much prep as you can to make the work go smoother.
The granite install went pretty quickly with the prep work mostly done. They had to do some job site trimming, and covered as best they could with drop cloths. They were very careful negotiating through doors and hallways to bring in the one 9 foot slab, and did a super job of leveling, caulking and sealing. Both were neat and pleasant, and earned their tips. In and out in just under two hours. The granite gives the kitchen a whole new look - they did a nice job fabricating - and the stand alone slab on top of the wine cellar makes it look like one continuous counter. Just perfect, and what I had envisioned.
And I definitely would recommend House of Granite to anyone looking for competitively priced natural stone product and quality workmanship."

"I have used Hansen Brothers many times before for remodeling
projects in my home. They have done bathrooms, closets, flooring, electrical,
plumbing, drywall, insulation, painting, carpentry, you name it. This current
project involved extensive interior and exterior repairs to a weather damaged
enclosed porch. As always, Bob Hansen and his crew went above and beyond on the
job and did it with professionalism and with the utmost quality. Hansen
Brothers always does what they say they will do and they often go above and
beyond to make sure the job is done right and exceeds their customers
expectations. They do the work to your home like it was their own home. They
are honest and can be trusted to do the job right and at a fair price. This is
a company with experience and integrity. I will continue to use Hansen Brothers
for years to come.

"I got their estimate but they were a little bit too pricey so I did not go with them. Their price was out of my price range. The professionalism was fine and they made an appointment right away for me. The guy came out on time, all that was good and he went over everything with me."

"My new home purchase required a lot of tuckpointing and concrete repair. Mike provided a clear estimate as well as recommendations for other work that he saw on my property. All their work was done well, and the entire crew was always on-time. I highly recommend this business to anyone."

"Great service, friendly staff, and fair prices! I'm in the process of remodeling my home. I had an idea of what I wanted and finally made up my mind to complete the project. I visited Mega Stone on 10/31 and met with Sue. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We looked at both granite and quartz and I settled on quartz. She also helped me chose a color for my cabinets and had a paint swatch to help me match the cabinets to the color quartz that I chose. The next week a worker came out to my home for the initial measurements and within a few days installed the new countertops and granite for my fireplace. The work was amazing and I have already received so many compliments. Sue kept in touch throughout the entire process which definitely made my life easier. I would definitely use them again and highly recommended this company."
