"It took 4 weeks to do the fence but they normally go up to 5 weeks! Ridiculous! No updates from the project manager during the 4 weeks unless i call or text. Overall, it was an okay experience .. it could have been better and the price was reasonable."

"Fence was to go on a sloped yard and was through a wooded area that had some obstacles. Mark's team was able to avoid obstacles and build the fence per our discussed plan. Project came out looking great. Very easy to work with."

"The Fence Work team did an excellent job replacing two portions of our wood fence and creating a double gate on one side and a single gate on the other. It all went very well and we definately would hire them again."

"Raleys Fence Company did a fantastic job on the split rail fence we had installed. Bill Raley was fair, honest, prompt, and courteous. My husband was very impressed with Mr. Raley and absolutely loved how the fence turned out. What a great experience!! Thanks to Angi for providing our project request to Raley’s Fence Company."

"After negotiating a contract with Churchill and settling on a start date, Cary said they would start 05/16/2016 and the job if all went well would take 3-4 days. Churchill sent a crew chief and 8 painters to my home Monday morning arriving at about 9 am.
What went well:
-The crew chief - Louis - was outstanding. An ex-military man, he was a good communicator, organizer, as well as painter and carpenter.
-The crew was punctual. They arrived when they said they would each day, kept me informed of progress and/or problems, and didn't leave the job site until the end of each day.
-Their recommendation on the paint to use was excellent.
-The re-caulking and painting of the trim (baseboards, door frames, chair molding, and crown molding) was first-rate. It all looks new.
-The walls look good. There were several repairs that needed to be done to the drywall (cracks and dents, some of them moderate to severe) and the repairs look good and the walls all look good.
What went ok but could have been better:
-I added crown molding upstairs, but Louis, the crew chief, advised against putting it in every room. The landing at the top of the stairs had the air-return and some other ceiling obstacles so I decided to go with his advice and leave it out of that room. The crown in the other rooms was difficult as the walls and corners were badly out-of-square. Louis did the best he could and the final result is ok but not not perfect.
-The guys moved all the furniture but it wasn't put back in the right places. This was partially my fault as I didn't check upstairs and wasn't too concerned with it as I am cleaning the carpets later so the furniture will be moved again. But they should have verified with me where everything went.
What didn't go well:
-If I had to do it over again, I would pay much closer attention to the tape job and the use of drop cloths. As it was, there was plenty of paint splatter. I eventually brought it to Louis's attention and most of the splatter was cleaned up. But the tape job was sloppy at best and the drop cloth coverage was insufficient. I keep finding paint splatter.
-The plastic covering the furniture got tears in it resulting in paint on some of the furniture. It was all cleaned up ok but the crew needs to pay attention to this.
-There were several paint runs that needed be cleaned and redone after the job was done.
-The vanity in the half-bath had the counter top broken loose from the side rail splash guards. One of the painters stood on the counter top to paint the wall behind and above the sink. There was a big footprint on one side of the sink. I got on Louis pretty hard about this and told him no one should ever climb on somebody else's furniture must less break something and not tell them about it. Louis made the necessary repairs so it turned out ok.
-A window sill in an upstairs bedroom had a very large dent in it where the crew banged a bookcase against it. It was repaired so you can't tell it was damaged, but nobody said anything to me about it, I had to point it out to them.
-In general, the crew seemed in a hurry. Painting takes patience, and I mentioned to Louis they needed to slow down.
Final analysis:
This was a large job, so I expected some bumps. Overall I give them a B grade and would hire them again. But if you hire Churchill for interior painting, make sure you check the taping and drop cloth coverage and monitor the progress in each room for problems.
