"The initial contact back took a little longer than expected, but Lewis was quite friendly. The son was no less friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They evaluated my roof and noted that it needed a full replacement, I didn't disagree; however, because of on going renovations, I couldn't afford a completely new roof. I asked for something that would last me 2-3 years, and they didn't hesitate or try to pressure into an upsell. I'll be going back to them when I need that roof replacement."

"Amazing. Todd Hartley and his team of professionals are top notch. I cannot recommend them enough. When I had a roof issue, Hartley was the only contractor willing to take a look the same day it was discovered (right before a very heavy rainstorm) since it had the potential to just be a minor roof repair (this was during the busy season). They came out within 2 hours, prepared to tarp the roof if necessary. Once the issue was identified, my insurance company came out to assess and totaled the roof. Based on my initial experience, I gave Hartley a call and they not only upgraded my roof to architectural shingles (instead of 3 tab, which is what I originally had), 6" gutters (instead of 5") and a thicker gauge steel roof for a bumpout roof. Hartley scheduled me within a more than reasonable timeframe during their busy season (and after several major storms) and performed the work as scheduled and on time. Each step of the way, the crew and Todd were happy to answer my numerous questions. Todd and his team are top notch. When I found issues not related to their work completed (siding issue from when it was built), Todd and his crew came out to help me fix the issue at no charge. I can honestly say that Hartley Home Exteriors cares deeply for their customers, has exceptional customer service, communicate well with their customer and amongst their team members, and Todd (the owner) stands behind his work. It says a lot when you see the owner coming out to check on not only the work being completed but also his crew. He cares about his customers and his crews and it absolutely shows based on my interactions with him. "Excellent work! At least 1/3 of my roof on the north side had a great deal of moss on it. On much of the rest of the roof there were small amounts of moss along the bottom edge of shingles, and there were patches in scattered places on the main part of the shingles. After Hector and his son cleaned the roof, it looked brand new. They removed plants and furniture from our deck before the job and replaced them after the job. They even did a light washing of the vinyl siding of the house, which was outside the agreed-upon scope of work, but they did not charge me for it. As a former member of a site safety office in a then-Fortune 50 company, I was particularly impressed with the excellent precautions they took to insure their safety on the roof during the job. Hector’s 27+ years of experience was evident in every aspect of the job. I plan to bring him back in a year for annual maintenance. "The crew showed up at 7 am, as promised, to install our new front door with two side lights.  Very professional and courteous, introducing themselves to me.  They protected the new front stoop with the cardboard from the new door, so no concerns there.  It is surprising how much work it takes to remove an old door.  The whole process took about 5 hours.  All the interior molding was caulked around it despite the fact that it is only white primer, it still looks great.  Clean up was excellent, including blowing off the driveway. <br />"

"Wonderful experience! Jim Miller was the estimator. He was extremely knowledgeable about the process including the roof repair, the roof replacement, and the removal of an attic fan. He arrived on time and the quote was fair and very reasonable. Installation team arrived on time. They did an excellent job of cleaning the surrounding area of any debris from the room installation. If I weren’t home, I wouldn’t have known that they were on-site. Also, they provide photos of the finished project. The office staff was very responsive to any questions and returned calls promptly. Everyone in the company was polite, friendly, informative, and responsive. Simply, great company to work with! A little side note: Also, two other townhomes had their roofs replaced around the time that I did. Prior to contacting the company, I conducted a reference check in a variety of sources such as Angie’s List, Better Business Bureau, Checkbook, etc. and their customer ratings were excellent. Also, they received the Roofing Contractor of the Year Award in 2014. I will have gutters installed in the spring with DryHome Roofing."

He and his worker were professional, neat, fast and efficient. The job cost didn't change and he finished on time. While they were not the cheapest, they were considered the most reliable and fetish for using only high-value products that would last for many years. Additionally, they were highly professional and never tried to push their services or any particular product. Their inspections and follow-up quality controls were quick, aggressive, and thorough. "Summit Roofing did an amazing job! Listed below are the positive and negatives of my experience. Positives -Excellent selection and variety of product -Overall process was easy. You get to choose the style of shingle, underlying material, and ridge vent Clean up (Very Important) was very excellent. So far, no nails in tires or in dog’s paws. Prices are competitive Negatives No personal interaction. Everything was done via email. No one actually came out to survey the job. All images were taken from Google Earth. Lack of communication on when the job was to take place. (see below) Overall, very satisfied with Summit Roofing. Like I said in my negatives, no one came to the house to ask questions or survey the job. I received an email with a date that the material was going to be delivered and an approximate time frame the workers were going to complete the job. The only way I knew my roof was getting replace was the night before a worker knocked on the door to ask permission to park his waste trailer in my driveway. But, the work crew showed up promptly at 7 AM and were completely finished by 1 PM. Very efficient and very clean. So, I would recommend Summit Roofing for your roofing needs."
