He said he would have to charge me double what others charge because his rate is based on foundation work and that's the rate he would have to charge. He even told me that the repairs I needed shouldn't cost more than $500 with a regular concrete company and that if someone tried to charge me more they were ripping me off. So he gave me an honest inspection (free) for over an hour, suggested I have someone else do the repair work and even told me how much I should expect to pay with someone else. I've never met another contractor with such good business ethics. The only weak point (and it's a stretch) is that sometimes it takes him some time to get back to you. But to me, even that is a plus, because that means he's in such demand, and after meeting him, I can understand why."
