"I went with Americare because, at the time of this review, they have nothing but 5 star reviews basically everywhere. I can see why. First, they're very reasonably priced. $60 for the service call, which is applied to any work that needs doing. If there's work to do, labor starts at $109, parts depend on what needs replaced. If the repair ends up being so much you decide to replace the appliance you're out no more than $60. All of this is extremely reasonable in this industry. Rich's communication in scheduling was terrific and timely. He arrived one time and was very courteous and professional. He sorted out our washer's issues quickly. No parts required and the fixes were relatively simple. There was no attempt to stick us with any additional fixes, charges, anything. $109, a few simple explanations, a demonstration that all was working as expected, and he was done. The fix was warrantied for 6 months (if I remember correctly), so if it turns out anything he diagnosed was wrong and needs additional work, the paid fee goes toward that as well. I also asked him about a no-longer-made appliance (a personal valet) which he'd never seen (no one has, it's a legacy of the housing boom), and with which I'd had some problems. In about 2 minutes of looking at it he gave me a pretty good idea of what might be wrong with that as well. Smart kid, very nice, very professional, will be the first person I call anytime I need appliance work period."

"Dean showed up in the time window he gave me. Friendly, and answered any questions i had about the dryer. He even suggested i blow out the vent pipe with a leaf blower. He was courteous and cleaned up all debris from the dryer exhaust. He saved us a lot by fixing the thermostat, and now we don’t have to buy a new appliance. He did a great job! I highly recommend him.!"

He had brought the new suspension parts in his van so the repair could happen on the first visit. Mark is personable and efficient and within an hour he was done. On the negative side, the service tech reeked heavily of cigarette smoke. My home is non-smoking and I am very sensitive to this smell. It took 24+ hours for the smell to dissipate after the technician left. I would consider using this firm's services again but only if a non-smoking repair person was available."

"I called to leave a message regarding an appointment. They work in different areas on different days. I was contacted on Monday and my area day was Wednesday. That was fine, because nothing was an emergency. Don came out even earlier than agreed, which worked out great for me. Oh my fridge the noise was caused by condenser coils hitting the drip pans. He put spacers in the area to realign the coils and stop the vibration. He also cleaned my coils in the back and underneath. I'm disabled, so that was a huge help to me. <br>For the dishwasher, I needed a new soap dispenser, the old one was caked with detergent, and the rinse aid dispenser wasn't sealing properly. He ordered the part after I agreed. It has not come in yet, but he will change it when it does. <br>The dryer was fixed before I even realized it! He replaced a part that controls the heat sensor. I've forgotten what it's called. No time wasted there. <br> <br>I have worked with this company for 40 years. Don's dad owned it before him. The prices are reasonable, they don't tell you that something needs to be fixed that doesn't need it. They stand by their work. They are polite, punctual and professional. That's the whole package."
