"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"Everything from the bidding process, through completion, was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Dimitri and every person who he brought into our home treated it as anyone would want their own to be treated. This was not a small project. They vaulted the ceiling in the living area, completely removing the roof on half the house, and did a full new roof. Matched the existing red oak hardwood flooring, and sanded/re-stained the entire upstairs. All the plumbing and electrical in the entire house was replace. New kitchen, 3.5 new bathrooms, finished basement, combined two bedrooms to make a master suite. New HVAC. New generator…. You name it, and it was done. When all was said and done, I think our two hall bedrooms were the one walls that weren’t torn down. We could not possibly recommend Dimitri and his company (his two sons work with him as well) any higher. They are honest, and hard working. Old school in all the best ways."

"Blackstone complete my first major renovation to my kitchen and I believe they exceeded expectations. I absolutely love the finish product and appreciate their design and recommendations. Our designer Julie gave us a design that we really like and maximize the use of the space. Justin Mason the project manager was great to work with. He kept us informed about the status of the project and was available whenever we had questions. Most importantly he was honest and upfront about any change orders to make sure we were comfortable with them before accepting them. Franklin and his crew who did the day to day work were great guys and really worked hard to make sure we had a quality project. I couldn't be happier with their service and look forward to working with them in the future."

Juan was super patient with me; I modified the quote request about 10 times. His crew was kind, careful with clean up and ensuring they had drop cloths over as many areas as possible and always took their shoes off if walking on uncovered floor. "After a broken sewage pipe in our driveway meant we needed to re-do our basement bathroom, we knew the only company we would trust with it - was JVF. Jose and his team wowed us last year with a total renovation of our main floor bathroom. We were thrilled to be able to get on the JVF schedule - and that they would also tackle the mess a previous contractor left in our laundry room. Because of the sewage pipe break - we needed to do a full gut and renovation of our basement bathroom. This included breaking the foundation to re-lay drainage pipes, leveling the floor, replacing walls, as well as the usual bathroom renovation tasks. We are thrilled with the outcome - in the bathroom - and in the re-purposed laundry room (now an office and storage space) Jose and his team did an amazing job fixing the poor craftsmanship and issues from our other contractor - and exceeded our expectations in the basement bathroom. The created a gorgeous spa-like bathroom - and found space we didn't realize we had to create a laundry space - freeing up the other room for a much needed office! His team kept us informed during every step of the project, consulted with us on decision-making, troubleshooting issues (and in a 100 year old house, there are always unexpected issues!) The level of attention to detail, craftsmanship, and creative thinking to resolve "old house" issues make JVF our go-to for any construction project. This was our second project with JVF, and frankly - we couldn't be happier with the outcome! We already recommend Jose and his team to our friends and neighbors - and after their amazing fix in our dysfunctional laundry room - there is no way we will tackle a house renovation without them in the future!
