He explained and showed samples of different levels of protection for different classes of shingles. I saw they where Certified by GAF as Master Elite installers. The installation of this shingle included the air circulation system/roof vents that will help keep the house cooler in the summer. Higher quality materials and protection under the shingles with Class 4 hail resistant shingles made this an easy choice. Included is the GAF Golden Pledge Warranty - 50 yrs of coverage/protection including materials and labor. Home Owners Insurance will now go down and that alone will pay for the upgrade over the previous shingle. A very efficient crew of installers worked almost non-stop to finish the roof in one day. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
