"We had several companies come out and give us estimates for a new deck, as well as removal of the old deck. Design-a-Deck was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Out of all the people I dealt with, I felt like Brandon seemed the most detail oriented and knowledgeable. His design ideas were exactly what I envisioned, and others weren’t willing to work with me on certain aspects. When we scheduled our installation, he came as he said they would, and it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. We have a walk out basement, so putting in a deck above the patio is a lot of work, and he worked with our concrete contractor to make sure everything went as planned! "Mike and his crew were absolutely professional in constructing our deck.. He took the design I had seen on a website that was a great fit for our space and adapted it perfectly!  We actually ended up with a larger (or so it seemed) deck than we were expecting.  The workmanship was top quality as evidenced by my extremely picky carpenter son who saw Mike's work and  had no negative comments at all.  The cedar is of top grade and all the surrounding landscape was left intact and clean when they finished.  We can highly recommend choosing Mike Rosian for your deck project. <br>"

"We called Allen and he came out the next day to give us a quote and was out a couple weeks later to begin work.  We told Allen what we were thinking and he drew up a plan that was perfect.  Allen and his team were always there when they said they would be and worked hard to finish the job in a timely manner.  We discovered that there were some rotted out old railroad ties under the deck that were holding back some of the ground from the body of the pool that needed to be replaced once the deck was torn down but Allen and his guys took care of that as well!  We had a special request for the deck gate, we wanted it to be a gate we could slide back so that we didn't have a swinging door always in the way, and he delivered on that!  I just can't say enough good things about Allen and his team and the work they did at our house!  I am beyond pleased with the way the deck turned out and the guys were absolutely great to work with!  I would recommend them to anyone and I would definitely use them again for future projects!  It's been a couple weeks since they left and everyday my husband and I look out at the deck and just smile saying we have the best looking deck in the neighborhood!  I am so excited to be able to throw a backyard party this summer!!!  Can't wait to show this beauty off!  Sturdy Deck is by far the best Angie's List find yet!!! <br>"

"Work started in late summer to remove part of the old deck and install the deck platform.  Tub was mounted and wired for use though not filled with water.  Work was suspended in the fall because we went to Florida and returned in May.  Work resumed at that time and took about 3 weeks or so to complete (with weather, etc).  Deck has a very classy and comfortable look.  Special lighting gives the deck a very cozy and warm feeling at night.   <br /> Chris Warner was very easy to work with and willingly accepted our several "on the spot" changes.  His crew also very accommodating.  The electricians and plumbers recommended by Chris to handle the support work were also very professional and did good work.  I think we could have had the job done at a lower cost but, I suspect we would not have been as satisfied.  Like the man says "You get what you pay for" and we are very satisfied with our end result. <br /> Finally, don't be afraid to discuss off-the-wall ideas with Chris.  He can probably make it work for you. <br />"

"I received approximately 6 estimates from various contractor for badly needed repairs to the exterior of our house. This work involved masonry restoration as well as extensive trim work. The trim is not only decorative but functional on my Tudor style home as it actually serves as a protective barrier over face brick which was constructed with channels cut out to accommodate the cedar trim. Odd but that's how it was built. This presented challenges as many contractors didn't want to deal with both masonry and carpentry work. I ended up hiring an excellent contractor to do the masonry work and subsequently hired Todor from Alenia Exteriors to do the necessary carpentry repairs. Todor had many excellent ideas and was genuinely interested in lasting repairs as well as making everything look great. We ended up choosing cedar trim and cedar lap siding which was painted on both the front and back sides and the end grain. This is a very important step to ensure this material is adequately protected from the elements. Many contractors didn't want to bother with this step or insisted it wasn't that important. The bottom line is other contractors didn't want to spend time to properly prepare material. Todor's schedule was booked up and it took awhile to actually begin the process - this was communicated to me upfront but I was willing to wait for his schedule to open up in order to contract him for this project. Todor performs the work himself - I like the idea of having the same person provide the estimate and also do the actual work. Todor's crew is also equally hard working and skilled. "I cannot recommend Bigane Construction too highly!!  This was a difficult project, which spanned a period of three months--including the last month, during most of which my wife and I were living in the unit while construction was continuing.  The quality of the workmanship was far beyond our highest expectations.  The principal worker on the job, Lukasz, is a true artisan as well as a wonderful individual.  He was unfailingly helpful, was neat as could be, had great insights as to how best to do the work, and communicated with us constantly with regard to questions which would arise.  He also worked very closely with our kitchen and bathroom planner, to ensure that the actual work not only conformed to the drawings but to the planner's design vision as well.  Lukasz is a perfectionist, who insists on everything being absolutely correct.  He knows the kitchen and bath remodeling business inside and out.  The other workmen on the job which Bigane provided (including brick masons, plumbers, glass installers and painters) were equally professional.    Bill Bigane himself was always available when needed.  I feel that the overall fee was not excessive in the light of the work performed.  The resulting effort is a showpiece, of which we are extremely proud.  I hope to never again have to live through a remodeling--but if I did, Bigane would be the first people I would call."

"We had a 750 sq foot elevated deck built by Joel and the building team led by Matt. Joel was fantastic to work with from his first visit, design proposal and quote. The building team led by Matt did extremely high quality work and were great to design with as the project progressed. They were very neat and hard working. We were delighted with the overall experience, result and value for money. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend them."

We called in the morning for a quote because we were tired of looking at our busted screen on our patio door (Our dog can’t see well and tends to think it’s open when it’s really not). Bob and his partner came a few hours later to pick up the door, and were back with the finished replaced screen within an hour! So glad to finally have a tight fitting screen in the door instead of our flappy busted old one! Would definitely hire them again!"
