"I called the first phone number on their Angie's List page and Greg answered it without any kind of business greeting.  He just said "hello".  I explained that I purchased on of the Big Deals, and he asked me to call the other phone number on Angie's List page and ask for Tracy.  When I called that number, Tracy didn't use a business greeting either.  Tracy said that she was not near the appointment book and would have to call me back.  She did call me back the next day.  We scheduled the appointment for about a week later.

Initially, I thought the work was going really well.  They arrived about 15  minutes early, had all of their own equipment and supplies, and had a ready to work attitude.

I did explain that this was for a kid's sleepover so the area to be focused on was things that could be seen from a child's height.  It's possible that they didn't understand that I was being serious.

Tracy worked on the surfaces while Greg started on the floors.  Before long, my house was full of that wonderful cleaning product smell.

Since I work from home, I have  some file boxes that I keep in the living room most of the time.  I told Greg that he could put the boxes on the couch while he was working on the floors.  Tracy used the "slide to the side" technique for surface.  Example:  On the top of the dressers, she pushed my husbands stuff over to my side of the dresser and left it all there.

Unfortunately, the boxes were never returned to the floor, he just left the boxes on the couch, and the furniture was never moved black into place.  In fact, everything that was moved out of the way, in every room of the house, wasn't returned to it's original place.  On most surfaces, I could tell that Tracy slid everything to one side, cleaned the clear area; and then slid everything to the other side and cleaned that clear area.  But she left everything pushed to the side.

I heard complaining about how dirty the top of the stove was, and they managed to make it less dirty.   If they had used something like Comet or Ajax, the job would have been much easier.  It was at that point that I noticed that most of their cleaning products came from Dollar Tree (which does carry Ajax).

While Greg was wiping the tops of the door frames (which no one ever sees), he told me that a previous customer had given him all Fs on Angie's List because they couldn't make her already clean house any cleaner and they left early.  I thought that was unprofessional of him to tell me this.  Then he asked me to call him back if I wasn't satisfied with something.

As they were leaving, Greg handed me a paper version of this review area, and encouraged me to give the a review.

Since the house smelled so clean, I didn't really take a close look at how clean things really were.   When the nice, and clean smell dissipated, I could see that the hallway floor was still very dirty, and that none of the door frames, door handles, or light switch areas looked any cleaner.

When I did call them back Tracy said they were all booked up for the rest of the month and that she would call me at the beginning of April.  As of April 15th she has not called me back.

As a result, my kid and I spent 2 hours cleaning what they missed and putting everything back where it belonged.

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."

"George was very professional when we first dealt with him and did a satisfactory job.  However, when we wanted him to do smaller jobs, he did not respond or set up dates to come and then did not show up nor did he call.  His father, who is the actual owner of George's Painting, came to our house for an estimate to have 3 closet shelves installed (the metal mesh type) for hwich he wanted $650.00.  We thought that was entirely too much as the material cost less than $100.  We looked for someone else off of Angie's list and got an excellent person who only charged $200 which was more reasonable and on top of that did an excellent job.    In addition we are having numerous other things done at reasonable prices.  Had I waited a bit longer, I could have gotten my house painted much cheaper as well.  George is overpriced and does not respond when you call or will he make an appointment with you and then not keep it.  I am glad I found someone else who is capable of doing what we want, is professional, does excellent work and his price is more reasonable.    I have already had work done by this other company and we are very satisfied.
