"Pogi came to do carpet repair same day after carpet was cleaned. He took a look at area needing repair and said he could fix it. He removed a thread from the same kind of carpet in the closet and went to work fixing it. It wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than a new carpet. Pogi did a great job and we were happy with the results."

"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"We were very satisfied. The installers were amazing. We actually had had the same installers before when they put in a kitchen and pantry floor for us, Abbey did, and we had these installer so when we went back to get our carpet that was sort of a stipulation that we wanted the same installers. They were as amazing as before. They were friendly and helpful. They were not cheap, but we felt like we got good quality both times we dealt with them. They have a wide range of quality which is nice so they can meet everybody's needs."

"Wonderful yet again. These guys provide consistent awesomeness. Six years ago they stained and refinished my existing hardwood floors (beautiful!). They also installed new carpet & pad in the rest of my house. Professional, highly skilled, kind, prompt, communicative and detailed. I had them re-carpet and pad my mom's house this summer and was very satisfied with all aspects of working with them again. Same great experience after 6 years. Highly recommend."

"I needed window coverings for 19 windows in a new home. I sent an email request through Costco and a Hunter Douglas designer contacted me within 48 hours. We divided the order into two phases and the designer and I met twice to complete each phase. After the orders were placed, the installer contacted me to set installation appointments. Craig, the installer, was excellent! He noticed that two of the shades weren't wide enough and had taken the measurements and was ready to order the replacement before I had a chance to mention the problem.I am delighted with all the window treatments and will use this Costco service again without hesitation."

"The team was very professional, new their products inside and out and we couldn't be happier with the end result. They also went above and behind by moving their install date up two weeks in order to complete the project before we moved in, on the Friday before 4th of July. Which was key when you have two young children. I am writing this review 1yr after install and the carpet still looks amazing and we have had no issues with the installation."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Yelm, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
