I spent around $95.  The dryer would take close to an hour to dry stuff and now it takes no time to dry. I had them check the chimney and he glanced at it and he said it doesn't need any repairs. "We had Frick & Frack out from the appliance sales company who weren't interested in completing the hook-up -- they finally settled on "you have to have a rigid metal duct" as their excuse to leave after 10 minutes (that's another story for another time). We had no idea who to call to do this--our plumber/HVAC company didn't do these types of things and I found Ashbaugh in the yellow pages under "Gas Services". They answered the phone (another company I called had "We always answer our phones" in their ad - and I got an answering machine!) and were able to come out the next day. The gentleman who showed up was prompt, polite and professional. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time (which involved signficant time in our crawlspace) and the dryer (now hooked up) works wonderfully and we won't worry about the house burning down!"

"I live in Vancouver, BC and the company is based in Houston, TX so a degree of trust is necessary before any order is placed. In my case the awning was sent via truck freight and a large metal-clad crate arrived, seemingly intact. Not immediately apparent when the goods were received was the fact that a fork lift had penetrated the base of the crate and crushed the canopy beyond repair. When I attempted to claim damage insurance from the shipper they sent out a damage inspector and I thought everything was on-track. To my amazement, the freight company declined responsibility for the damage and refused to pay any part of the claim. At this point James Threadgill of Classic Copper Works stepped in to offer a full replacement of the damaged item at no cost to me. I have now received the replacement item (this time sent by FedEx rather than the dodgy truck freight firm) and it is perfect. Classic Copper Works certainly did not make a profit on this transaction but they earned my respect. Thanks."
