"We had an old tub removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. The installers, Isaiah and JT, were great, answered all questions, made sure we were happy with the install, and did a great job."

"They completed the work sooner than estimated. The quality of the materials is excellent and the shower looks great. One of the sliding doors rolls a bit stiff but I m hoping it will loosen up."

"Floyd and Sue and Full Spectrum Contracting have done many jobs for us over the years and have always been AMAZING. About 6 years ago they did an almost complete home remodel for us including opening up and redoing our kitchen, tiling the whole home, putting in new sliders, etc. At present, they are our General Contractor on a commercial building that we're rehabbing into a coffee shop (restaurant) and art studio in Phoenix. It is a big job that takes a real attention to detail and compete knowledge and expertise in construction processes and codes. They have also done smaller jobs around our home including adding a large exterior closet for storage, replacing windows with doors, upgrading systems, and etc. Hire them, you won't be sorry."

"I signed my contract on 7/27/13 and the last detail was finished 12/27/13. What was to be a 4-6 week job lasted 3 months from the start of the demolition. The over all look of the finished bathroom is beautiful. James Furzer, the project designer, was creative in his ideas and ready with suggestions I hadn't thought of. Jeff Gorszczyk, Production Manager, was diligent and patient with the numerous issues that had to be addressed. He seem to take it all in stride and never hesitated to address
the problem. The tile contractor was the Wharton Company. They were called back so many time, I lost count, to repair chipped tile or grount that was frequently narrow in some places and wide in others. The company that installed my counter top was Custom Creative Marble and Granite and they too had to be called back to remove a poorly placed piece of granite on one side of the vanity that didn't match the way the granite was laid on the other side of the vanity. Problems related to caulking existed.  The screen frame on my window was installed, but damaged with scratches that went down to the metal. The screen was replaced with an even worse damaged framed.  Milgard was the manufacture of the window screen and the company they were obtained from said that was how most of them came and a third one might not be any better. The owner of Cooks was reported to have said that it met "industry standards". One of the mirrors that was cut from the original mirror was hung with a flaw  about the size of a golf ball and couldn't be noticed unless you looked at it from a certain angle. It had to be replaced. Painting and grount lines had to be redone numerous times. The employees of Cooks Remodeling were excellent so it is difficult to say I wouldn't  use them again. However, unless they make use of more professional subcontractors it would be a difficult decison to have them raise my sunken livingroom floor to all one level. The purpose of my bathroom remodel was so that I could age in place and the bathroom certainly would now allow for a wheel chair to get into the shower and the safety of it all being on one level gives me a sense of security. The overall look of the bathroom is awesome. If one looks too close flaws linger, but they are minor, but nonetheless flaws. I am happy to have written out my last check.  Because of the numerous people who entered my home, they rekeyed all my locks and paid for a cleaning service due to the length of the mess. I generally,  ws never home when the work was being done so I never knew who had been in my home. Cooks took my safety issues seriously and I appreciate that.

"My sister and I purchased a 5 BDRM/3BTRM home. I've never hired contractors before to do any type of remodeling. I was concerned if I'd find the right contractor that would meet my needs. From my 1st appointment with Raul & Taylor, it was clear they'd listen to what I wanted done. They even took the time to answer my questions & concerns. I need to open a couple of walls, wall up unnecessary extra doorways, & turn a bathroom tub into a walk-in shower with a seat. We found a walk-in shower kit called, Tuscany Freedom Grand with glass doors from Home Depot that we all (Taylor/Raul, & myself) thought this would be a good fit for the size space we had to work with. Kit is ordered online. Construction day: Raul & Taylor, had every requested wall, doorway, & bathtub removed. They worked from sunup to a bit passed dinner hours to get this phase of construction done. Next day same efficient work ethics with wall reconstruction, texturing, & painting. They even painted over areas that needed it from previous owners. The shower kit finally arrives at Home Depot, Raul & Jaun (plumber) were kind enough to pick up the kit for delivery to the house. NOW this is how you know you have a good contractor. They get started on the insulation. About an hour into them working I receive call. Raul says, "we have to stop what we're doing. The shower pan is good. We have it installed. The rest of whole entire kit is to be installed with silicone. I can install this kit for you, but the shower will need to be redone in 2yrs. I won't be able to warranty this work because if it. I can't do that and feel good about it later." Well now we just spent 3.1k on kit that. So now what? Raul & myself decided to go with cement backer board and tile. My sister & I purchase the tile and items needed. We managed to use some of the home depot kit (seat, corner pieces for soap/step to incorporate into the new updated walk-in shower design. Raymond is their tile contractor and does excellent work. He had the tiling done within 2 days. During this time Raul and Taylor were able to come back with a reduced payment of 2k. That helped a lot since 3/4s of the unused shower kit was sitting in a corner of the bathroom. Those beautiful and heavy shower doors couldn't be installed either due to the layout of a pocket door right behind the shower wall. This kit was a lesson for all involved, right down to the installation video. Now, with all remodels, touch ups need to be done. I sent in my concerns on the shower tile grouting needing touched up & a bit more paint too. Raul and Raymond were out the very next day to complete all touch ups. During all this work being performed. Everything was cleaned up after every workday. I'm looking forward to doing my future remodel projects with Precision BluePrint Development again"

This bathroom showcases a stunning blend of luxurious and modern design elements. The focal point is a sophisticated walk-in shower with bold, marble-patterned tiles on the walls, complemented by a pebble-style mosaic tile floor. The shower is enclosed with frameless glass, providing a seamless and open feel. Built-in niches offer functional storage, while a corner bench adds convenience. Metallic fixtures, including a rainfall showerhead and handheld attachment, complete the shower’s elegant

"The sales associate that came out to our house was amazing. That is the only reason why this company is getting three stars. I understand that they are high-quality work but just to remodel my bathtub was $24,000. I can remodel my whole entire bathroom for less than 15,000 and that is including bathtub toilet flooring and a new vanity, I understand it is high-quality but what is the likelihood that somebody is gonna live in their house for 40 to 50 years let alone every 10 to 15 years outdated I am so sorry but I am not paying five times the amount just because you are a namebrand"

"They sent two men who checked the system very quickly. Even though the system is operating fine, and another company last year said everything was OK, they recommended replacing two parts for a total of about $450. This doesn't make sense since the furnace is working fine and we have a home warranty. Overall this seemed like a heavy marketing call to sell $32 worth of parts at high markup in case they failed. Will not call this company again."

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Arizona City, AZ

Replacing your tub with a shower can modernize your bathroom and improve accessibility, often providing a high return on investment. However, if it's the only bathtub in your home, removing it may decrease resale value, as many buyers look for at least one bathtub. Consider your long-term plans and consult a real estate professional if resale value is a concern.

While showers cost slightly more to install than tubs, the overall expense depends on various factors such as materials, size, and features. A tub installation costs $2,400 to $8,800 on average, whereas showers average $2,000 to $9,400. Custom designs, luxury fixtures, or extensive plumbing work can increase costs for both options. It's important to assess your specific needs and budget when deciding between installing a shower or a tub.

Converting a tub to a shower generally takes between one and three days. The timeline depends on the complexity of the project, materials chosen, and whether plumbing modifications are necessary. Installing a standard prefabricated shower can be completed quickly, while custom tile work or extensive plumbing changes may extend the project's duration. Planning accordingly can help minimize disruptions during the conversion.

Converting a tub to a shower offers several benefits, including saving space and making your bathroom feel more open and modern. Showers improve accessibility, especially for those with mobility challenges, by eliminating the need to step over a high tub wall. Additionally, updating to a stylish shower can enhance your bathroom's aesthetic appeal and may increase your home's resale value if another tub is available elsewhere in the house.

Choosing between a shower stall and a custom shower depends on your budget and preferences. Prefabricated stalls are less expensive and faster to install but offer limited styles. Custom showers allow personalization of size, materials, and features but cost more and require professional installation. Evaluate your needs and budget to select the best option for your space.

If you’re converting a tub to a shower, you may want to consider remodeling your whole bathroom. The ROI on bathroom remodels is high (over 70%), so you can enjoy an upgraded bathroom while you live in your home and get your money back if you decide to sell later. The average cost to remodel a bathroom is around $6,600 to $16,600, so factor in this price range when you’re budgeting for your project.

Converting a tub to a shower alone isn't easy to DIY, so look for a bathroom remodeler near you if you decide to take on a larger bathroom remodel to ensure it's done correctly.
