"Of the three contractors recommended by Angie’s List, Ryan Poulton was the only contractor to contact me. He did so within 24 hours of my request, and was able to give us a quote based on photos sent to him. He was able to come in and do the work within two days. The job appeared to be more time consuming than he had anticipated, but he did not complain or ask for a change in price. The work was done very professionally. The repaired areas were blended very well with the furiniture, so much so it’s hard to tell the difference. Overall very satisfied with the response, professionalism and quality of the work. Will use this contractor again."

"Fantastic. Working with Brady and his team was a great experience. The quality of work was superb and he's just a great guy to work with to realize your ideas. He worked with us every step of the way and made some great suggestions that really made the project turn out great. This was a pretty major renovation... new deck/balcony, new staircase, rebuilt another deck and connected it all with a spiral staircase and new fence. <br /> Brafford Construction will definitely be the first contractor I call when looking to do other improvements in the future in the Bend area. <br />"

"It went beautifully from start to finish. Excellent product choices, and quot;cut aboveand quot; decor recommendations and complete satisfaction with his work. We consider Rafael a craftsman, rather than a carpenter. People often slow their vehicles to take in the beauty of our and quot;magicand quot; cottage -style home. We often recommend him as a qualified, detail-oriented builder.. <br />"

"Me and my wife moved into our first home in May. We thought we were going to be able to remodel and renovate the home ourselves, but quickly found out it just wasn't for us. After looking around and getting quotes from some of the other companies in Portland we finally came across Kyle Stevens at Karoo. He understood what we wanted done, and was able to help improve some of our ideas while also saving us A LOT OF MONEY! He reworked our flooring and touched up our interior paint. It was exactly what we needed and couldn't do ourselves. It was a pleasure working with Kyle. He is a friendly and hardworking contractor that won't let you down. I would hire him again in a heart beat."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Astoria, OR

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
