"I had Joe’s Yard Service redo basically my entire backyard and it turned out awesome. They took out an old concrete patio that was falling apart, removed the grass, leveled everything out, and put in a big paver patio. They also handled outdoor lighting, sprinklers, new grass, and added river rock along the side. Joe was super easy to work with the whole time. He always got back to me quickly and didn’t mind stopping by to explain things or walk through ideas. That made a big difference since this was a pretty big project. For a project of this size (around $32k), I felt like the pricing was fair. They got everything done pretty quickly, but more importantly it was done right. The quality shows. I also appreciated that Joe would point out ways to save money and put it toward other parts of the project instead of just upselling everything. Overall just a straightforward, honest guy and a hardworking crew. I’d definitely hire him again. Photos are some before and after shots."

"Nathan was a joy to work with. He was very helpful with ideas to iinstall new outdoor light fixtures and gave us different options to replace older patio motion sensors which we immediately ordered. "The electrician arrived after my scheduled time, without a courtesy call. I learned he had car issues, and he came in a vehicle "not as fully stocked as his primary vehicle would have been". One of the lighting fixtures I needed was not on his truck. While he was working on an electrical socket, he asked if I wanted to go to the store 'to save time and to prevent me from being charged if he had to go to the store himself, because he couldn't use the current pull cord'. Really? It's my issue because you had car problems and came in a partially stocked alternate vehicle? Anyway, I go to get a pull cord. I asked if it would be easy to find and he said that it would. I typically buy the wrong thing, so I bought two items, just in case. I return home to learn that I actually needed the entire fixture. Seriously? I understand the difference between a fixture and a pull cord... He didn't say "fixture". I was irritated, but he tried to make one of the items I bought work (it didn't). I also purchased a water heater through the electrician to be installed the following weekend. At that point, he says he'll remove the charge for trying to install the pull cord. Really? You were going to charge me for that? Back to the electrical socket, he did this 1st, completing 1 of 3 sockets on the same breaker. I was so thankful he did because the power went out again while he was installing the ceiling light. He went back to the other 2 sockets, asking me if I knew if they were working. Really? You're asking me? He ultimately rewired all 3, which, of course, makes sense. I'm certain he wouldn't have if the power didn't go out though. As he left, he asked if I could give him a good review on Yelp or Google, saying it would really help him, they'll give him like 20 bucks (something like that). I didn't. However, after the great service I received from the water heater contractors, I took the time to give them a positive review. To my shock, when I looked at the Dear Services site, I saw "Dave", the electrician that 1st came to my house. Wow! Dave acted like he was just another Dear Services electrician, but he is the founder. This was amazing and irritating to me. I wasn't going to post anything about my experience with Dave, but HomeAdvisor is persistent with their emails regarding the service that customers receive. So here I am, and this was my experience. Again, the water heater contractors were great and I posted a positive review for them. With Dave, that was definitely not the case."

We did not think to include lighting and it was an excellent suggestion and decision. Hector and his crew showed up as scheduled and finished the job in two days. "Alex, helped us achieve our dream backyard. He and his work workers took our backyard from an uneven slope space and created my family's favorite space. They installed a retaining wall, added topsoil a new lawn and sprinkler system. They added a outdoor lighting system, added a natural gas line for a fire pit and grill. Installed pavers for a new patio and fire pit area. They added a gazebo with electric heaters. We loved what they did so much, that we have used them for other projects as well. "I am very satisfied with the job that was done. The estimate was the best of the five different companies I called. From the moment I called to make an appointment to the installation everything went smooth. I scheduled an estimate at the time when the company was changing the management. I was notified of that before the appointment. John, salesperson was very courteous, on time, explained everything about the project in great detail. The installation crew with Fernando was very professional , easy to work with. Initial, they brought the wrong time color of stone. I told them about the mistake, they apologized and brought the right kind right away. I know we all make mistakes, but how we resolve the problem - that what matters to me the most. The crew handled the issue very professionally. The work was done in the timely manner. When the crew left the stones were washed and wet. Because of that i didn't see very small defect on one of the stones, but later it started bothering me. My husband was not very concerned, but I decided to contact John and see if the stone can be replaced so it looks perfect to me. Next day Fernando was by my house and fixed everything in the matter of minutes! Now it's the driveway is perfect. Love it! I was also reminded by John that I have 10 years warranty in case anything else needs to be corrected. I would definitely use this company again if I have future projects."
