Dominick deserves a lot of credit for persevering through the pandemic, which led to substantial labor shortages for him. He would usually have multiple crews going, and was down to himself and one other person through most of the construction, and did much of this work himself. Thank you Dominick! We definitely appreciate your sticking with us through this pandemic and finding a way to get this done. Dominick also dealt with significant material shortages, having to run to another state at times just to pick up additional material. Dominick does a great job in treating his customers right; he listens, is courteous, friendly and was accommodating of what we were wanting to do as well as some last-minute changes. The quality of the work was terrific, and we really appreciated Dominick’s attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with the end result, and the inspectors were pretty impressed as well. Dominick’s quote was very competitive, and he managed really well to that budget. Dominick is very capable, and handled a pretty large job for us from soup to nuts. He arranged an architect for us to work with, and took care of permits, inspections, managing multiple sub-contractors, and construction from footings to framing to finish work. We’ve struggled with general contractors who’ve put us in the middle of working with sub-contractors; Dominick definitely does not do that; he manages the job end to end. I’d highly recommend Dominick to anyone, especially for bigger jobs where you need an extremely capable contractor."

"<p>Found several high rated residential construction and roofing contractors through Angie's list. Called three different providers in the area to give estimates for replacement of our aged roof and possibly replace our skylight which was starting to leak. Matthew Miglin responded promptly by E-mail, phone and through messages on Angie's list. Matthew came out and surveyed our job and quickly provided a very detailed estimate which he E-mailed to us. After our review and some questions we decided to use Matthew and Chapelwood Home Services to replace our entire roof and the old leaking skylight. His estimate was much more in line with our budget than the other estimates we received for the work. This was great because our home was located just slightly out of Chapelwood's service area and so Matthew was going beyond his normal service area because we were Angie's list members. After signing our agreement and picking out the colors, Matthew fit us into his work schedule within a week. Wow. He estimated the work would take several days to complete. Matthew and his team showed up on time as scheduled and completely covered anything that could be damaged outside of the house during the removal of the old roof. The materials were what we wanted and the colors matched as expected. His crew was polite and they worked carefully. The finished job was great, everything was completed as expected, and they finished the entire job in one day ahead of schedule. Matthew was very careful and the clean up and removal of the debris was thorough. he even offered to replace a downspout that I damaged earlier this year with snow removal. We of course said that it was not their fault. They went around the entire property with a roller magnet to pick up all the nails that may have slipped through their cover material. "I contracted with Double D on these projects because of my satisfaction with their prior work for me installing new roof and porch steps railing. I called on a Friday and had representative there on Monday to go over needs for proposal and said he would send to me via email. I received the proposals 9 business days later and accepted them. They came out with two different crews 7 business days later and completed all work within the day. They were professional and friendly and they cleaned up well after themselves."
