Customers say: True professional

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again. "

"We needed a new entertainment center built into the corner of our family room to accommodate at new TV.  We were told by another contractor that building at an angle would be impossible and that we should just tilt the TV.  We were also told that the unit would not be able to butt up against the brick fireplace, which would've been our preference.  Instead there would be a gap. <br /> Enter Steve Kane at Rans Group Inc.  He came to our home and spent much time explaining exactly what he could do, and that included building the unit at an angle.  He did agree with the other contractor that the unit would not be able to meet the brick, as I had hoped. <br /> I was unsure what the unit would look like, so he took all measurements home with him and brought back several versions of what he could do.  Again, he was in our home for quite some time.  He wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page and that we would be happy with his work.  That day we agreed on one of the ideas he had come up with.  Modified a few things, and sent him home with a deposit and a promised date for installation, that being  Tuesday, June 19th. <br /> Last week he called me and asked if he could push installation to Friday.  I told him that it would be a problem as the TV installers were coming on Wednesday.  He said "no problem," he would make it work, and he did.   <br /> He showed up Tuesday...on time.  The unit in my family room is beautiful.  Perfect.  And for me...NOTHING is ever perfect!  Yes, it is at an angle like he promised PLUS he was able to butt it up against the brick!  He had said he didn't think he could do it, the other guy said "no way", but Steve found a way.  I'm impressed. <br /> Where was Steve when we re-did the kitchen? Wish I had known him then.  <br />"

"Very well! Carlos is responsive, reliable, trustworthy, and does excellent work. He did work for us on three separate occasions. 1st time- when we first bought this home, we hired him to remodel our kitchen (all new flooring and cabinets, installed new appliances, fixtures, sink), back splash), two restrooms (built both walk-in showers and did the tiling, installed new floors, removed old cabinet, and removed and installed toilets, fixtures, etc), laundry room flooring, removed old cabinets), removed a wall to extend our closet, removed existing tile floors in several areas of the home, and installed the new tile, replaced the front door, installed a ceiling fan, removed an old sliding door, and painted all areas he did work in. 2nd time-built a closet in our office. 3rd time-built a wall to enclose a room, built a new laundry room, installed ceiling fans. He is our go to contractor and we highly recommend him."

"Our kitchen remodeling project was the first project that we did with Sunshine builders and we were honestly worried due to stories that we heard from other people that hired contractors for their house! We met and interviewed at least 5 home improvement companies before we decided to hire Sunshine builders & at the end of the work, we can say that we were not disappointed. Everyone at Sunshine builders was very professional & responsive at his own trade (including the personal at the office that took care of all the paperwork and orders of materials). The designer worked closely with us and with Eli (our project manager), helping us to make and take the right decision. Eli, made himself available for us when we called or met him at the house each day. The work was completed in a fairly timely manner and within our budget. During the work we had several issues which all of them were addressed right away. We definitely love our new kitchen & we highly recommend Sunshine builders."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Big Bear City, CA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
